yes, Spirit is the ONLY
Webmaster and creator of website.
He wrote the rules and guidelines..
It is HIS website so I guess the point of view
is if you don't like his rules.
then you perhaps need to create a website of your own?
( not meaning you personally I am speaking in generalities)
rules are not *selectively enforced*
the moderators do their best
to try to sttend to matters..
that is why the alerts work ,
then we can see which posts might be really bad,
that we may have missed.
and hopefully other mods (and myself as well ,)
will read the entire thread to get an idea of what occured,
rather than a one post response taken out of context.
we have to take into consideration what kind of forum is it?
Support or nonsupport.?
Debate Forums are pretty much no holds barred lol ,
except when they get extreme in cussing or graphically name calling etc.
We also have to take into account an *offenders* actions..
do they routinely do this? or is it a one time loss of balance?
We can hide offending words rather than whole messages if we feel
the rest of the message was in compliance with rules
and was helpful to the thread.
Blogs are support personal newletters.
whether you agree with them or not, they are PERSONAL
you are certainly allowed to post supportive messages
if a person does not like your comments on his blog,
he is certainly entitled to ask that they be hidden.
(whether supportive or not,)
that is a persons right
to choose what they want on their own blog.
As far as your comment about the marketing advertising blogs
I am in complete agreement with you .
I view this as a blatent abuse of a blog,
But since I am not the Webmaster,
and It is not my job to make this call ,
then my opinions must remain as my own .
Answer? I do not choose to go to such blogs
and * feed them *
I would hope that other intelligent posters would see
for themselves the marketing *salesmanship of such blogs.
We were told that marketing blogs would not be allowed,
why this rule is not enforced I find curious as well..
though as I said,
It is not my website !!!
I just have to do my job 8) as best I can ,
as exasperating as it can be at times
as well as incredibly uplifting too ,
when you look at the great helps that many folks give here ,
Then it brings joy and happiness.
Perhaps we need to focus on the good things we see.
and appreciate the ying / yang even on websites?
when we see the so called *bad* role models ,
then we better see the ones that shine
as pure gold in contrast.
ie:
is someone promoting ME ME ME ? lol !
(not talking about the ones that are looking for health answers btw
a person has to talk about their problem to get answers..
this is different completely for the *self promoting* blogs or messages)
or are they really putting out messages to bring health
in body mind spirit and soul ?
These to me are my measure sticks... of a good post.
(don't confuse judgement with measurement)
since judgement means beomming a participant
not remaining an observer , while expressing an opinion.
I think you understand this.
