I had been on a eye supplementation regimine for the past 3 months and unfortunately I have seen no improvement so I am planning on having custom bladeless (Intralase) Lasik very soon. My eyes are -4 (R) and -3.5 (R). I know it would take a very long time before my eyes ever come close to 20/20 w/ supplementation and excercises, if 20/20 is even possible. I know I should be patient with these things, but I was discouraged b/c in the 1st couple weeks I saw a little improvement, and then fast forward to today (3 months later), and my eyes are back to where I started. I have been doing palming excercises and taking the following each day:
Vitamin E: 400mg
Vitamin A: 25,000 IU
Vitamin D: 1,000 IU
Calcium: 1000mg
Magnesium: 500mg
Lutein: 20mg (just recently)
Eyebright: 940mg
Bilberry: 80mg
I did a full body cleanse prior to this regimine (Colon, Bowel, Liver, Parasite, etc), and I've been on a primarily juice-based diet for the past 3 weeks. I have about 5
pounds of carrots/week! You would think with all this my eyes would see improvement, but actually lately I feel like it might even be getting a little worse. I've been noticing my vision seems instable at certain times of the day, and gets ever so slightly blurry even with my glasses.
I'm a little hestitant about the lasik as I know the technology still is not perfect, and there are possible complications, but I've decided now is the right time. I plan on going overseas to do work in undeveloped countries next year, and God forbid should I break or lose my glasses, I would be pretty helpless! I won't lie, I'm a little scared after reading online some bad cases of post-op Lasik complications!
