ocked
What the heck is an OD? Optometric Doctor or something? :)
After some reading about the Bates method, then rereading my post, I see it all fits. I'm not going to wear my glasses anymore, and I'm really glad that I have a 30-day money-back garauntee ($300!!!).
I'm going to try the method for a couple weeks and make sure it works before I actually do return the glasses, however. Although my sight is already perfect, or even more than perfect, I'd like to reduce strain and sensitivity to light, actually improving my 20/20 vision. My wife is terribly near-sighted, so I'm going to see if she can give it a shot as well. If all goes well, my eye-strain and light sensitivity will reduce and I'll have that money back in my pocket. I'd rather spend it on stuff for learning anyways.
Can anyone recommend a good, solid book on this subject and application of the techniques outlined by the Bates method? I'll check my local library and a few book stores.
Oh, and real quick, somewhere I read that a sign of far-sightedness is a tendency to want to follow text you're reading with your finger. I almost have to do that when I read or I start to falter and lose my place. Is there a good way to combat this, or to overcome this? I do a lot of reading, as I'm a Christian and I'm in college, so books books and more books. It would surely be nice to overcome the eye-strain and reading difficulties.
