Hello.. your opinion please...a man I was with last year... although after 11 months of happiness.. he broke up with me....after a few months we began being friends again...didnt really date... just stayed in touch... e mail.. phone calls...i'm trying not to make this too wordy...anyway....we have been in touch as i said... be recently I havent heard from him... my b day went by...he knew i was going for medical tests... he sent no mail asking me how things went etc....Ok now the 2 questions... Do i e mail him? do i express my concern regarding our relationship.... or do i e mail him and just keep it "light"..... or perhaps i should take a hint.. perhaps he no longer wants contact ? any thoughts folks?

MoreThis is a reply to # 594,974It sounds like he has sent some pretty strong messages, breaking up with you, no concern about tests, birthday...I think you should value yourself enough to not give this chump another thought. Phone calls and email are light and empty, any meetings in the last few months? Move on.

Does the words "being used" ring a familar bell.
No guy is worth losing your mind over and crying all nite.

You deserve "RESPECT" any man that doesn't treat with respect is definitley not worth it.
Although it is a 2 way street, you have to treat him with respect as well.
Alot of times us gals will be going in the same vicious circles and not even realize it.
Sometimes you have to look to the person that you wouldn't give a second glance to.
Alot of times the right person is right in front of your nose and you don't even know it.

I pick up a couple of hints from this; Either he has met someone else and kind of forgotten about you, Or you said or did something to make him uncomfortable about his relationship w/you and he's really wanting you to get in touch w/him so he can know how you truly feels about taking this further again.- Ok... I called his Cell Phone ... asked him if everything and everybody was ok because I havent heard from him....He said he was preoccupied with the play offs... and the world series... and he had meant to answer the e mail I sent him 3 weeks ago...I'm glad all is OK... and yes now I know my place....its no place... at least in his life.. thanks for taking the time to respond to my message to those that have... Take care...

Welcome to The World of Fools. I've been there before. And while I would like to think I'll never be there again, the reality is, I'll be back.
I was in a very similar situation such as yours. I too made that call I shouldn't have.
But at least I can say this: All doubt is now erased. It's over and now time to move on without looking back.
There's something about the definitness that is very comforting, knowing you gave it your best shot. The price we had to pay to get that knowledge was feeling stupid, but in time, one recognizes that it was probably worth it.
Anything is better than forever thinking: "If only I..."

These past 3 years have been the worst of my life...My brother committed suicide.... my divorce... I moved 1,300 away from my friends and a job i loved..i loved this man... he was my only bright spot.. i will miss him forever....- Re: Ok... I feel like a fool now... Badger

Hi DeAnn,
Man, no one should get hit with so many multiple tragedies in so short of time. I really ache for you, especially since moving away you are pretty much without any sort of support system from friends, family or even aquaintances that know you and your history.
I really can't think of anything that would give you comfort. Anything I could say, you probably already heard before. And since there is no way I could ever relate to such an avalanche of personal heartbreak and calamity, any advice I would give would sound so incredibly idiotic.
But I will say this, despite all that has happened to you, you still have a heart of flesh, not stone. You haven't gone numb and lifeless. The fact that you still can feel pain and have desire to love and be loved is a wonderful sign. A sign that you will make it through all this, recover and come out much wiser and stronger.
The passage of time will allow for the healing. Your own character will allow for continued growth.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
