Drinking alcohol makes any reaction to
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) or
sulfites worse.

NMDA receptors are affected by alcohol abuse - they become sensitized.
NMDA receptors are stimulated by glutamate and can be adversely
affected by excess glutamate.
Alcohol can induce Vitamin B6 deficiency. Vitamin B6 is used by the
body to convert amino acids. Deficiency of this vitamin will affect
the body's ability to handle excess free glutamate. Because of this, alcohol use is not encouraged for those who are borderline Vitamin B6 deficient, or
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) sensitive.
Alcohol damages the liver. The liver is the major center of the body
where amino acids are converted. Taurine is made there. Taurine is
the major inhibitory amino acid that counters glutamate's excitatory
role.

GABA is created from
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) and may be addictive. GABA fits the same
receptors in the brain as valium. Glutamate also stimulates the NMDA
(N-Methyl D-Aspartate) receptors in the brain. These receptors are
currently being investigated for their role in Long Term Depression.
Taurine, which is adversely affected by glutamate has shown some
promise in treating drug addiction.
