isocort naturally replaces the adrenal hormone cortisol. it is not necessary for all AF patients to take it as not all of us have low cortisol, some of us have high. It all depends on our adrenal output which we should all know after being diagnosed with a simple saliva test. It does not make any sense to guesss what supplements to take when we can KNOW. If we have low cortisol, isocort is a great product. My herbalist suffers form addisons disease, and instead of having to take steroids, she is able to take this. She controls her disease with all natural supplements. A person asked if it helps with sleep. my insomnia comes from too high a cortisol level in the evenings, so taking isocort certainly would not help me sleep. however, my mother who also has AF has low cortisol, and also suffers from insomnia, so it may help her. she has yet to try it. Glandualars are a great supplement to take, they strengthen the glands and give them the nourishment they need. A multiglandular is really the way to go as it supports all the endochrine system at once, as if one gland suffers, they all do as they work together. I take Dr. wilson's adrenal rebuilder which is from a porcine source and has all the glands in it. It has helped me alot. Leslie
