How long did it take you? I've been treating my weak adrenals for just over 4 months now and have made a little progress, but I still have a long way to go. As you well now, sometimes it seems like there is no end in sight!

By the way, I'm still not brave enough to attempt the UT yet! LOL!

hey chaz , congratulations on the progress you've made & good luck in the future . i'd like to ask about the urine therapy . basically , how much & how often ? straight or with water ? and , do you ever get used to the taste ?

how long did your recovery take from when you first began your regime? and how does urine therapy work? i know nothing of it but am willing to try just about anything. however, it seems gross and i thought urine was waste our body was getting rid of.

Yes I have been taking an adrenal cortex for the past 4 months. It's funny cause I have been ill for a little over a year now and I'm certain that I would be further along if I had only found my present ND sooner. I have seen 4 doctors and 2 ND's before finding the right one.

Before that, I was trying to self diagnose and self treat for everything from candida, parasites, lyme disease, depression, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue- I even thought that I might have cancer! That's the problem with the internet- there is a wonderful plethora of info at your finger tips, but you have to be careful because you can begin to think that everything you read applies to your case.

So I finally realized that I wasn't getting anywhere and I was spending a ton of money, so I did my best to seek out the appropriate qualified help. I'm glad to hear that you are doing better, but I sure hope that it doesn't take me a year to get better. However, this is exactly the length of time my ND said it may take in terms of strengthening the adrenals back to a normal state.

As you well know each day can be so up and down, feeling good one minute and then horrible the next. But like you I am a helluva lot better than I was last year at this time, as I could not even go to the corner store without freaking out!

One thing that I have been guilty of in life is being extremely impatient with all things. This condition has humbled me and is definitely teaching me supreme patience. I truly believe that all things good or bad in life are lessons that help us learn more about ourselves and our ultimate purpose. Like you I have learned a lot about who I really am and where I want to go with my time here on this planet. For now I will stay the course and keep repeating my daily mantra in the mirror, " I love being alive and I love who I am!"

megan, your letters give me hope. I have been so scared to take an atidepressant as i took lexapro two years ago for a short time and hated it. But that is just one experience, and since my panic is bad they have offered me another one. I opted for cloraxapam, an anti anxiety, but the Dr. said it can be addictive and also that an antidepressant would help with the panic as well with the depression. I seem to be better and then I have a relapse, and it really gets me down. I began doubting I will ever be the same again, and that just leads to more Depression and anxiety. Did zoloft help you rest at night and help with panic? Also, did it have any negative side effects? the lexapro made me feel strange and kind of zombie like. It also bothered with my libido. I need to get past this constant worry or I will not get better. Everyone seems to try hard to not stress me, but after awhile they get used to me being sick and stuff just comes spilling out of their mouths. They even say, sorry, i know you can't handle this but ... It is too much for to bear right now. If you could let me know how you felt on zoloft and if it helped you rest and not panic i would appreciate it so much. thankyou, leslie
