Dear ones:
I did it. I completed day one of the IP, except for the final shower & massage. Wow. Intense.
Notes to those who are interested:
1)It doesn't taste good. My thought was, "neither does Robitussim, but we gulp it down when we're sick."
2)Don't think about the color of the juices. This is medicine, not Smoothie King. Close your eyes if you have to.
3)Look for little victories each day- little signs of getting better. Mine was that I was able to get down my 3 front steps without any assistance (I have FSH muscular dystrophy).
4)Open your windows- especially your bathroom window. LOL
5)This is all consuming (pun intended LOL). It literally took all of my attention and practically all of my time. But, if as Dr. S says, that one day erases one year, then in 30 days, how young will you be? I'll be like a 17 year old! Hopefully not as ditzy, though...
6) Don't expect a lot to happen on day one. Maybe something will, but if you're like me, with a deep illness, it will take some heavy duty cleansing to get your body pure enough to accept any healing. I'm telling myself "let God and the herbs do their work- you relax!"
7)Be sure and let your loved ones know what's going on, but respect them if they don't want the details. LOL
8) Be very sensitive to your spirit and emotions during this time. Please don't watch the news- or any TV for that matter. Let your mind become pure, too. There were two time today that I felt some stress coming on. Normally I would have blown it off or absorbed it. Today I addressed it, cleared the air, and got back to a peaceful place.
9) Be grateful to everyone for everything they do, no matter how small. They are helping you get well because they love you. Love everybody around you. Don't stuff your love.
10)Keep laughing. Here's my joke for today- "What does a cow say when she makes a mistake?" "Moops." Ok, I thought it was funny!
BTW, for the more medical folks, elimination was normal except that I've had 5 small bms starting at noon. Plus I had to visit the bathroom every 20 minutes.
Love and blessings,
dp9 (Donna)
