I was diagnosed with IBS years ago. i am not sure that tell the whole tale tho'...
When I lay on my back and 'thrust' my belly upwards, using my abdominal muscles, the sound of water sloshing is very audible, and I can feel it's weight, it is uncomfotable and sometimes very painfull.
When it moves around, there is a lot of gurgling and I feel oh so much better after it moves.
When I lay down to sleep, I think the water in my system accumulates somewhere, and for 5 years now every day I wake up with terrible pains and am bloated. It is difficult to take a deep breath and to breathe all my air out, I suspect because of the water pressing on my diaphragm and lungs [is that possible?].
I think this happens when I sleep because the water moves to some location and then stoips there, gets a build up because its not moving properly when I sleep. There may be a lazy "Ilio-sacral valve" keeping water damed up behind it, in the small intestine. It really hurts, I feel panicy and weird when its bad.
All doctors scoff at me. I hate them, this is horrible, every day.
Sometimes I have constipation, but if I keep up "the perfect diet" I have good BMs every day, 2 or 3. Flaxseed ground fresh, sunflowerseeds, porganic oats and bananas are one meal, and the other is eggs with bacon sometimes, it doesn't bother me at all].
''Does anyone have any ideas what is going on? Is my theory possible, that water accumulates and causes me much grief? Is it just gas, then why that sloshing?
