One type contains pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (POAs) and the other contains both POAs and tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs). POAs act on the cellular immune system and TOAs act on the central nervous system. Recent studies confirm that the TOAs exert antagonistic effects on the action of the POAs. Uncaria tomentosa plants may contain as much as 80% TOAs. According to studies in Austria, as little as 1% TOAs can cause a 30% reduction in the acquired immune benefits that POAs provide. This may explain why large dosages, at times far exceeding 10,000 mg per day, of Cat’s Claw containing TOAs are required to obtain some results in treating immune system related conditions.

This is a reply to # 52,383I am wondering if I should buy the Cats Claw, I cannot get an answer from my pendulum.
I have studied lyme and from what I have read and been told by my LLMD, Lyme Literate MD, there are 3 forms of lyme.
BTW, I have had lyme about 16 years, only started treating it one year ago.
the Spirochete, the L-Form, and the Cyst form.
From what I had read and learned I believe that POSSIBLY the L-form of lyme is a culprit in autoimmune diseases for some of us.
The L-form of lyme is a cell wall dificient form. If you are familiar with the Marshall Protocol, they talk about cell wall deficient bacteria as a culprit in autoimmune disease....
what happens is this...
the bacteria, the L-form, can go INTO our cells, I think the white blood cells, and then our own immune system, recognizes that there is a bacteria in us, and so starts attacking it,
BUT! the bacteria is in our cells, and the immune system does not know this, so it just keeps hacking away to kill it, it is
attacking our own cells attempting to get at the bacteria, but it cannot, it keeps damaging our own cells.
The Antibiotics for cell wall defient bacteria, are the tetracyclines. Such as the Doxycycline, the minocycline and so on. These Antibiotics can get INTO our cells, and kill the bacteria, this then STOPS the autoimmune like reaction.
I believe from studying that SOME viruses that we are born with... can do this too, or they are actually DORMANT in our own cells, and when something gets wacky, they are activated and
our own immune system attacks the virus IN our cells.
SO! what I am thinking is this...
does the cats claw get INTO our cells to kill the bacteria, or does it only stimulate the immune system to kill the bacteria.
IF the cats claw does not get into my cells to kill the bacteria, I would not want it.
The ONLY thing for me that works to get well from this autoimmune like condtion I acquired since going OFF anitbiotics for a break is.... the Doxycyline. Possibly the Minocycline, not sure.
If I dont take Doxycycline right now, I will die. My body starts to attack itself, the lungs and the worst, the throat too.
The doxy gets into my cells and I start to get die-off.
It is def helping me, and possibly this is all I need, not sure.
So, does anyone know of people using it with lupus? or the sjgrodens syndrome? I have both of these and the doxy has save my life, but still not well, maybe just need longer on the Doxy.
I have used echinacea and NO! way, this is bad news for me. I get so much worse. Anything that stimulates my immmune system makes me worse. Even the sun now makes me sick.
I do though notice that as long as I stay on the Doxycycline, my sun sickness gets better. I went off Doxy, and near died again.

This is a reply to # 52,392Hi have you looked into MSM, when we have an acidic system, our cells become like glass and it makes it hard for things to will pass through them.
What MSM Does:

I would think the cells life span, normaly 5 to 7 years, would be dramiticly shortened, when infected, so to me, it would be more important to stop, anything from moving or transfering between cells, infected cells to healthy cells. and don't forget virus and bacteria hide around the toxic metals in your body, and flourshes again, even after Antibiotics .- thanks Gehna

Pendulum says no.
I will ask again later, :) It did help me years ago, but was not as sick back then. My mom swears by it.

Theory:
We believe that the m-state (ORMUS) materials dissolved in water are superconductors which respond to magnetic fields. ****The Individual Process****
To do this alchemical meditation you would sit comfortably or lie down with
your awareness focused about an inch behind the bridge of the nose. This
area in the brain is that of the pituitary and hypothalamus. The pituitary
is the master regulator of the endocrine system, an important key to higher
states of consciousness. And the hypothalamus is the brain's relay
information center. In this area, but at a more subtle level within the KA
body, or the etheric body, there is an energy vortex or chakra, called the
Third Eye or Ajna Center. On the right side of the Ajna is a small Sun, and
on the left side of the Ajna is a small Moon. The hermetic alchemists of
ancient Egypt coined a phrase, "As above, so below. As within, so without."
This means that each level of creation, is recapitulated in the next level
above and below.
For instance if you look at the atom, the electrons move about the nucleus
in elliptical or spherical orbits. At the level of the solar system the
planets move around the Sun in a similar fashion. Within the human energy
body or KA, the solar energies of the Sun on the right side of the Ajna
extend up into the center of the head in the area of the pineal gland, and
down the spine to the base chakra, or Muladhara. This comprises the solar
circuit.
On the left side of the Ajna the lunar circuit runs up to the center of the
head in the area of the pineal gland, as does the solar circuit. It then
runs down the left side of the spine to the base of the spine or the
Muladhara. The sun emits a gold like energy that can be perceived as having
liquid like qualities. The moon emits a silver like energy that can be
perceived as a silver like liquid. When the gold and silver combine the
result is White Gold, which at an alchemical level represents the
distillation of the balance between the solar and lunar, the masculine and
feminine circuits.
This White Gold has many properties, including an ability to purify the
subtle pathways within the body, called nadis by the yogis and yoginis. This
White Gold has an immediate beneficial and balancing effect upon
consciousness. By itself it has immense abilities to refine consciousness
and awareness, and this process can be used on its own or in a preparation
for deeper meditation, for it greatly facilitates heightened states of
awareness.
To do the meditation, sit or lie down, as we indicated.
Close the eyes and find a breathing pattern that is very comfortable and
relaxing, letting yourself relax into each exhale. You may find it helpful
to play music that is relaxing for you and that allows you to turn your
awareness inside. We have prepared a series of tones that have been recorded
and greatly facilitate this alchemical process. However it is not absolutely
necessary for the meditation to be effective. The tones simply enhance the
effects.
As one inhales naturally, draw the Gold light from the sun from the
Ajna/pituitary area about an inch behind the bridge of the nose, up into the
center of the head into the pineal gland. As you exhale, let this Gold
energy circulate through the brain and move down into the spine to the
Muladhara, the base chakra.
On the next breath you simply draw the Silver light from the Moon in the
Ajna/pituitary center up into the center of the head, the pineal gland.
On the exhale, let the silver light circulate through the brain, down the
spine into the Muladhara, the base chakra.
On the third breath you draw both gold and silver light from the sun and the
moon together up into the pineal gland where they meet and are transformed
into White Gold.
Then on the exhale, as before, you allow the White Gold to circulate through
the brain, down the spine, and to the Muladhara, or base chakra. This is one
complete cycle.
We would suggest repeating this at least three more times in order to
experience the alchemical effects of the White Gold. This would only take a
few minutes, but would have immense positive benefits. Try it before your
other meditations and you will discover that they are deeply enhanced. As a
meditation on its own, we would suggest repeating this procedure for about
ten minutes and then resting for a few minutes afterwards.
This is the individual alchemical process. Doing this on a regular basis
will greatly enhance your ability to deal with chaos, through its balancing
affects. You will also find your general intelligence and creativity
increasing as well as your subtle intuitive abilities. All of these effects
occur as a simple result of activating and balancing the internal Solar and
Lunar circuits.

I have chlmydia pnuemonia.. which acts alot like lymes[need to get tested for that too!] there is very little alternative treatment info for it.. so I am trying to apply lymes ideas. I have done the circular riff of Antibiotics then my candida flares up etc. I got some vitamin research samento. my question ideally is do I do the Antibiotics until my titers are down then use the samento for maintenace OR do I do the samento instead of Antibiotics .
