Howdy Gang...I"m back!
Before the downtime, I had made a move cross country and am settling in my new place just fine here in Texas...yeehaw! It's great to be back here...
OK, so yesterday I went to buy groceries and I have been out of
OO (Olive-Oil) for a while. I had bought the Kirkland brand at Costco before and it was delicious and the right consistency/viscosity. It was extra virgin OO, too. I bought a jug of
OO (Olive-Oil) from the store yesterday which is the Pompeiian brand...a brand with which I have been familiar, but never used. But it's cold pressed, extra virgin
OO (Olive-Oil) just like the other stuff I bought.
Here's the problem...it's not NEARLY as thick as the stuff from Costco...it tastes like OO, but it gives me a stomach ache, too! WTF!! It's very thin and not as dark, either...
I don't THINK it's bad/spoiled. But I am wondering if there is THAT much variation in OO's and this is a brand that just sucks. I got into the habit it taking several tblspns a day and want to keep doing that, but only with good OO!
Has anyone had a problem with this brand? It's icky and I used to look forward to taking it...now it's creeping me out!
Any input would be appreciated...thanks, CZ'ers!
