I am a director of a local daycare as well a teacher in the two year old classroom. I have come to an issue that I have not been able to resolve. I have a child that bites and is extremely agressive will all of the other children. I use time outs with him and tell him that it is not ok but because he has extreme delays he does not understand what I am saying to him. This boy has been evaluated for speech which is at a 10 month old level but I have had many red flags the past week. This child is out of control. If he is told he has to wait or not right now he throws a tantrum, violently shakes, and inflicts pain upon himself by biting or in some cases will go after another child if they are near by. I have become concerned that he will seriously injure another child or himself for he is a large child and is strong. I feel exhausted with the efforts that I have put forth. his parents think it is a joke but it is serious. Please help if you know any ways that I might be able to further help this poor little boy.
