Hi, here is an excerpt from a book I have ("The Acid-Alkaline Balance Diet" by F. Kliment):
"Kelley determined metabolic type by having his patients answer hundreds of questions... but he also used a simpler test that works just as well:
Swallow 50 mg of niacin on an empty stomach. If, within a half-hour, your skin turns red and you feel very, very hot and itchy, you have a meat-eating metabolism. If you feel warmer and have a better coor in your face, then you have a balanced metabolism. If you don't feel anything, then you have a grain-eating metabolism."
I also remember reading something about a coffee test, but I can't remember it exactly. Something like -- drink one strong cup of coffee and see how you react (feel great v. feel jittery). Anybody ever heard of this?
By the way, I have heard that oxygen therapy could be dangerous. That's according to Richard Jensen, "The Failures of American Medicine"... but I don't know much about that treatment.
Hope this info helps.
