its well known among some people that all deisel engines can run on vegetable oil. what is not so well known is that all non-deisel engines can run on alcohol. that right your average car has an engine that can run on high alcohol fuel. there is one plant that can be used to produce both - corn. the corn itself can be pressed for oil, the rest of the plant can be fermented for alcohol. thus a few acres of corn could power ???? car and buses. this is totally organic and completely renewable, requires no drilling or destroying the earth, and alsol means that we could locally produce all of the transportation fuel we need on a community by ocmmunity basis, thus disabling central control of resources.

maybe we could expand consciousness to include both of our suggestions and a huge part of the "energy crisis" just went *poof*

ps no i am NOT talking about ethanol. ethanol is a scam and requires more fossil fuels to produce than it replaces. notice BP and exxon have embraced it recently, wonder why?

And what happened to the Ballard fuel cell? (I saw one tiny black and white TV commercial promoting one car that uses it. Although Vancouver, B.C. was given a few buses, years ago, to 'test'.)

Also, combustion can't happen without oxygen. Oxygen may be our most expensive fuel.
