Children who lose their hair usually suffer from constipation, excessive weight, and thyroid dysfunction (hard to diagnose at that age). Yes, colonics would be a better choice as there may be a major blockage already that colosan is not able to remove. Obviously a combination would be good. The diet obviously plays a major role here. Refined foods, manufactured foods, sugary things, lack of drinking water, and too few vegetables and fruits in the diet is enough to cause intestinal congesiton and toxins, waste, and baceria to move up into throid, head and scalp area.
Please also check out what I just posted in response to a question about early graying (the previous post). Some of it may apply to the little girl's problems as well.
