Thank you for your quick response. I hope that I have answered you questions correctly.
/// Do you feel that the nose is blocked?
My left nostril is almost always blocked. Allegra or Nasacort will unblock it a little but never fully.
/// Does it get worse during day or night, on lying down, intake of cold, exposure to cold etc.?
It's always worse in the morning. Intake of cold or exposure to cold doesn't seem to affect it. Dairy and alcohol does effect the congetion and swelling so I have eliminated them...but now I seem to have this swelling all the time no matter what.
/// Do you have a nasal discharge? If so ,is it watery, or thick?
No abnormal discharge from my left nostril. When there is any it is clear and watery. On the other hand my right nostril is always running and it is clear and watery.
/// Do you have any sneezings? Worse day or night, exposure to dust, smoke, cold etc.?
I sneeze when around someone with strong perfume. Smoke and dust can affect me but only as long as I'm in the thick of it. Cold isn't a problem but I do sneeze sometimes in the freezer section of a grocery store. Pollen can affect me for a short period of time. Ironically, before I need to have a Bowel Movement I sneeze several times like clockwork. Sneezing doesn't seem to have a preference for day or night.
/// Do you feel the discharge from the nose falls into your throat?
No, I don't really have discharge.
/// Do you feel heaviness of the head, headache etc.?
Not with this specific affliction.
///Do you suffer from any other ailment, are you under treatment?
No.
/// How is your appetite, thirst, urination, bowel movement, perspiration, sleep etc.?
My appetite is good. I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. I don't have bowel movements every day but I've recently cleansed my bowel and did a liver flush. I've just started taking Triphala, and occasionally Colosan, to aid with improving elimination. I also exercise several times a week, eat healthy, I'm of a proper weight, and I'm generally healthy (I assume).
I'm a Pitta so I've always perspired easily especially above my upper lip (which I hate). I sleep well most nights but don't seem to require 8 hours.
/// Any past history of a health complaint?
I did break my nose in a car accident 20 years ago which seemed uneventful in the aftermath. And I've had sinus problems off and on over the years before and after the accident. The sinus problems were worse as a child than as an adult. On occasion I've been treated with
Antibiotics which I have come to understand is not a good thing.
Over the last few years the swelling under my left eye happened maybe twice a year. Lately I have it nine days out of ten. I'm not sure the cause. It knows no season. I used to think it was food related, but now I'm not sure. It just seems to happen. Could it be trapped bacteria? It's not really painful but it's stretching out my skin and looks unattractive. I would also like to be able to breath freely on my left side.
/// Any family history of a similar problem?
My mother has had sinus problems and has taken sinus medication and
Antibiotics her whole life.
I hope I answered your questions correctly.
Thank you for taking the time to assist me with this matter. You are a very kind soul.
