Didn't mean to inadverdently suggest that
Antibiotics should be a first choice for most folks when dealing with dysbiotic gut flora. I agree that herbals such as oregano oil, garlic, beberine, olive leaf, etc., plus probiotics, should be a first try since prescription
Antibiotics can have unintended results including the development of bacterial resistance.
"The usage of
Antibiotics ...is what causes bad bacteria to flourish in both small and large intestines." It is VERY common for antibiotics to be the only effective treatment for gut bacterial dysbiosis after unsuccessfully trying herbal treatments -- I can attest to this myself. Herbals can sometimes be effective, but often aren't. But they're still the best first choice. (Why kill a fly with dynamite when a fly swatter will do?)
The problem with antibiotics is that folks often use same unecessarily, inadverdently altering their gut flora. Or they take same for other bodily ailments, and end up with altered gut flora. This is often easily corrected by taking a high-potency probiotic both during and after treatment (for a few weeks afterwards). Many folks have dysbiotic gut flora without having taken antibiotics -- other causes such as insufficient stomach acid/pacreatic enzymes/or liver bile, birth control pills, corticosteroids, high-sugar or alcohol diets, and low-fiber fast food diets play more significant roles in societal gut flora than
Antibiotic use. Many of these trends have rapidly expanded in the last half-century.
"...a lack of homeostatic soil microorganisms in our soil is what causes bad bacteria to flourish..." I've read this too, but primarily in Primal Defense's marketing claims. I haven't seen it much in the literature of either the alternative or conventional medical communities. Many folks have done just fine by consuming traditional probiotics or certain cultured milk foods.
