There is a medical treatment available in Canada not yet approved here in the US - I'm thinking of going there for it (paying cash of course, no insurance involved).

Have you or anyone you know gone to Canada for any kind of medical treatment? Did you explain over the phone first that you were paying cash, no Canadian medical support plan is involved, and that you are coming from America?

I'm wondering how cooperative they were.
