Hi JB,
Go back a couple of pages and read my post (9/27) on the causes of constipation. This may give you some clues to help things get moving.
Water is a major key in proper elimination. Given your coffee intake, it is very likely that you are quite dehydrated. Make sure that you are consuming plenty of water...especially when using psyllium and bentonite. Each 8-10oz p+b 'shake' should be followed by at least one more 8-10oz glass of water. This is IN ADDITION to half your body weight in
oz of water daily.
Colonics are a great adjunct to any detoxification program... especilly colon cleansing. I highly recommend them...but if that is not an option for you, I suggest that you do enemas at home. They are not nearly as effective (2
quarts of water vs. 15-20 gallons!), but they can help to clear out some of the congestion.
Probiotics are essential, however their benefit is greatly reduced if the colon is full of toxic material. They should certainly be used following a colon cleanse. You could also try them in the meantime to see if they help.
As for going to the doctor...you are the only one that can decide that for yourself. You need to feel comfortable with any choices you make regarding your health so listen to your body and follow your intuition.
