i imagine this will now be the mantra. "please make FEMA stronger, give them more money..." you can tell this is all bogus in the way that the politicians are turning it into a left versus right thing. meanwhile, in the first few days of the disaster, when FEMA was doing virtually nothing, i heard many people proposing that the refugees be put in former military bases. i thought it was not only a great idea, but that FEMA would be doing just that(not for the good of it but to get people used to being housed in them). strange that this agency which has reportedly spent millions to referbush these bases as "internment camps" doesn't send one person to them or even mentions them as an alternative to sports arenas.....hmmmmmmmm
