Ozonated Water for Washing Food

My friend starting exploring ozone for cancer recently, and I've become interested in it after looking through articles and web sites to send her. I happened to get a Sharper Image catalog in the mail yesterday, and they're selling a 200$ unit with a bowl that attaches to the top for soaking produce, etc., in ozonated water to kill bacteria. I don't think I would buy this one, I would get something that would have more uses, can anyone recommend a good personal unit for this kind of every day use, i.e. water for drinking, sanitizing food, maybe bath water? I doubt a medical grade unit is in the budget at the moment. I ran across one called Bio-Kleen for around $300. Any thoughts? My friend ended up being conflicted about which unit to buy, she is currently at an alternative cancer treatment center in Mexico and getting some ozone therapy down there, I imagine they might advise her on a home unit.

The general idea is that medical grade is best.
But as you said, that route is expensive. After
that, for ozonators that use air, they are all
relatively in terms of quality and output.
Therefore, the cheapest is probably the way to
go. The lowest cost ones that I know of are the
Enaly units, which you can find on ebay (just
search for Enaly). They have various models with
timers, silicon air dryers, etc.

This is a reply to # 447,629Yeah I got my Enaly OZX-B400T for $80 shipped. It seems many people say that medical grade machine is better but I too, was on a budget. So regardless if I am not getting as much ozone as an expensive machine, I feel MUCH better in the last week I have been using it. I cannot tell you how excited I am. NOTHING has made this much of a positive affect on my mental & physical well being. No prescrip drugs, etc. It is the best $80 I have ever spent!

This is a reply to # 447,634thanks for the replies. I looked at these on eBay, there are several different models, and I'm trying to decide which would be the best to get. The starting prices on the auctions are pretty good, but shipping from China to U.S. is pretty high. Still, if I could get a good unit for under a hundred bucks, I'd be happy. I'm unclear on which model to buy, though.

I just mean that there are several Enaly models available, apparently for different purposes, some more basic than others, and the product descriptions (on eBay, anyway) are less than real thorough. I just need to determine which model is the best for me, personally, and whether one stands out over the others in terms of features or performance. The few Enaly models that I've looked at are all under 100.

You can go to enaly.com and click on products
to read a little more about each unit. Here are
some things to look for:
- Output rate (mgs per hour - generally the higher the
better).
- Make sure it has an air pump.
- You can decide if a timer is important to you.
That means it will shut off after a period of time
(otherwise you have to manually turn it on/off).
- Silicon air dryer. This might be needed if the unit
will be used in a particularly humid place. But central
air conditioners/heating units usually do a pretty good
job of drying out the air, anyway.
While I don't have one, personally, I've read several satisfied
folks with the OZX-B400T (like the one mentions in the previous
post.

In the universe of ozone, all that matters is PPM (parts per million) of ozone for a given air flow rate, not the amount of grams per hour like some units boast. Grams can be greatly exaggerated by lab tests using high unrealistic air flow rates. Most other ozonators are at 100 PPM or below when compared at the same low air flow rate the DEL unit is rated at (scfh= standard cubic foot of air per hour). This stat is the key to understanding and comparing units. If an item does not state the "scfh" used to get the results stated, the grams/hour mentioned (or any other unit of measure) are meaningless and usually misleading. Buyer beware if this stat is omitted, there is usually a reason...
Because of its superior engineering, the DEL is able to deliver this incredibly high concentrated output at a very low air flow rate. Ozonators naturally operate at a very low air flow rate so this is how you want to compare how different units will operate in the real world.
