As for diet, the 'cleaner' you eat the better...lots of fresh vegetgables...raw and steamed or lightly stir-fried...fresh fruits if you tolerate them (careful with candida)...fresh juices...this should be the bulk of your diet while cleansing. Animal products are mucoid-forming...so is soy...but you do need to have a good protein source to optimize detoxification...just keep the portions small. Avoid the 'whites'...all sugars, dairy and flour products (and not just white flour), and eliminate any junk or processed foods. The simpler your diet is with fresh, whole and organic foods...the better. Include a wide variety of vegetables and fruits with particular emphasis on 'green' foods. Also, feel free to include sea vegetables, garlic, ginger, cayenne and other peppers, as well as culinary herbs and spices... cayenne is particularly beneficial for breaking up mucous.
Since you found that coffee irrtiated your problem there is a good possibility that this was due to increased acid. You need to alkalinize your system...fresh produce and juices will help in this regard, and regularly using liquid minerals that include trace minerals would also be beneficial.
Once you get the mucoid plaque cleared out your colon will be able to function better and absorb water from the fecal material. I have not used the Schulze program...primarily because it contains laxative herbs that are better avoided. Many cleansing programs that include such herbs result in an increase in daily bowel movements because food moves through your digestive tract much faster, but they do not eliminate mucoid plaque. Hopefully Schulze's program will be an exception to this and will get you squeeky clean. If you find that you are not eliminating a significant quantity of mucoid plaque once you've started the F2, you might want to consider switching to another program....either the psyllium and
Bentonite cleanse or Holistic Horizons or Arise and Shine...these will definitely clear out mucoid plaque.
I would also suggest that for the time that you continue to have problems with leakage...make sure that you keep the anal area coated with a non-water-soluble lubricant, ointment or oil. The toxicity and acidity of this material can create a lot of skin irritation and contribute to the formation of hemorrhoids. You might also want to use witch hazel compresses to wipe with...I believe that you can get them individually wrapped so you can take them with you.
