For all to ponder...
"In examining faces of God too closely, however, we can lose sight of our purpose for doing so. Wars have been fought and civilizations overturned as we bicker over what's what on this issue. The point is, God is ALIVE in this universe...by any name, with any face, and in any tradition. The Creator is not disconnected from one atom of his creation. It is part of the body of his BEING. And if that being is humble enough to lay himself before us, let us walk on his essence during the day and cradle us in his consciousness at night, cannot we refrain from forcing our particular way of seeing God on others? Where is OUR humility? As Thomas Aquinas wrote, "Since the Divine essence is pure act, it will be possible for it to be the form by which the intellect understands...". This "pure act", when experienced, is humbling beyond words. And when the soul is humbled, there isn't much left but the One who created it, and the One loves his creation as himself."
