The Church of Positive Accord believes---and I think they make a damned good case---that the God of the Bible is corporeal, not spiritual. In udder woids, he eats and shits just like you and me. And, contrary to my 1959 heresies, he definitely has a penis. He even has boogers: they proclaimed that in an interview with [SubGenius Church reverend] Ivan Stang. They point out that all "spiritual" ideas of God derive from Greek philosophy, not the Bible, and claim that gaseous Greek god has been promoted by a Conspiracy of intellectuals. Just re-read the Bible with that grid and it makes sense, in a Stone Age sort of way. He walks, He talks, He's a serial killer, and in the sequel He even knocks up a teen-age chick.

Well, I do believe God became human for a short while (33 years) During that time I am sure he ate food, drank water & wine, passed water, had many bowel movements and all the other things that we humans do. I am sure that Jesus was 'fully man' in the sense that he had the normal male genitalia.
Where I (& other christians) beg to differ is the part about him being a serial killer & "knocking up a teenage chick". Jesus was tempted in every way but he was without sin. I love Jesus so much that my eyes began to fill with tears as I read your posting. I wonder if you had thought about how painful it is for us to read such things. We love our Lord Jesus Christ. We KNOW him to be holy, just, perfect, loving, compassionate & much, much more.
Jesus loved us sooooooooo much, he DIED for us. That includes people who really are serial killers, as well as mass murderers, pedophiles, cruel dictators, prostitutes, satanists, terrorists, etc. - so that we can be set free & have eternal life. He also died for people who mock him & say all sorts of wicked things about him, perhaps like those in The Church of Positive Accord. He knows that they have simply been deceived, & longs for them to learn the truth, discover who he really is & experience his amazing love for them.
If those things had been said of or written about Mohammed, I think that people who made the film would have had the same problems as Salman Rushdie had, with hate mail, death threats & attempts made on their lives. As christians, we are called to turn the other cheek & pray for those who persecute us.

This is a reply to # 432,601You know....I met God....I honestly believe...that God is in the Bible...Old and New Testament....The Being in the Old Tetament that I met is this loving forgiving bleesing kind of god called Yah(Not Yahweh) I only recognize this name as the God I met ....Some times I think the god of this world...Lucifer is often called God as he Yahweh slays children for laughing at a bald man and is called Yahweh or Jehovah as He murders countless bad guys....but that "God" is not the God I met....I recognize the God I met in a New Testament Scripture...where the being is called "The Father of Lights"....this I believe is the real thing...and on the lips of Jesus...when he called out to Abba Father(Daddy)...I met this God....I also recognize the risen Christ as "God"...a light being who is a version of how we will all be some day....Jesus told a bunch of religious people...We are all gods...when they asked him if he was "God"....There are a lot of gods in the Bible. I think that if you want to know if we are talking about the real "God" you can give it the "Real God" lithmus test...
1.If the being is involved in loving joy and or a forgiving(forgeting all evil instantly)act ....then it is the "Real God"
2.If the "god" is involved in any act that is not love(not mean ole tough love) then it is not the "Real God" The god who gives tough love is just the old snake in the grass Karma(you get what you deserve)a god....but that god is the mean old Father of Maggots(Belzebub)
I choose to read the Bible...and discern love as God and "Not Love" as "Not God"
Give Love the the rest is maggot food
