"it doesn't matter what you have faith in, what matters is that you have faith" - this is what Serendiity said in the film Dogma (acually how i found this forum).
However once here, and realising that it wasn't what I was looking for, i could not help but continue to read. the thing which i do not like about christianity is that you say "there is only one god, and thats it". Basically giving the impression to those not with the same beliefs that you are a dumbass, or just not as great as us, because you don't believe what we do.
I did not post this message to say ur religion is a bunch of BS. i have my beliefs (i go with serendipity's statement above) and you have yours that i can handle. the way i see it though, if you care to know, is to live by your own book, not one penned many years ago, which if understanding is correct, was not by one author but rather a bunch of people 'remembering and recording' events. i decide to live by your own books. what is the point of making choices if the reasons you make them is not of your own accord but rather that which a book told you. why do you think we live? to learn, hence "we live and we learn". live is not meaningless, for me, i believe that this is the meaning of life, to live and learn. when i make a choice it is because i my life experience, not from a book i read. but hey, like i said, that is just what i believe.
i was compelled to post when i read the last post mocking a certain service. the way i see it, you express your religion your way, someone else does it theirs. was it a mock of their religion? just think about it. faith is faith. i just thought i would share my thoughts with you.
peace.
