To Chandasa,
When I was a teenager and young adult, I had
Acne so bad I was afraid to go out. I would purposely burn my face in the sun (I am olive-skinned anyway) just to make it peel to try to get rid of some of the scars. I know now that was a bad thing. So I know how you feel about being afraid to be in public because of an unsightly looking complexion.
Do you have a juicer? I have several friends that had preventions and improvements in their skin conditions by drinking several glasses of fresh pressed carrot juice every a.m. One girlfriend was able to prevent a sunburn even with being out in the hot Hawaii sun all day - we think it was because of the several glasses of carrot juice everyday. Her girlfriends got burned and they all spent the same amount of time in the sun.
Another friend usually gets poison ivy every year. He would get it even if he was in the vicinity of it and didn't touch it. He was drinking several glasses of juice everyday, but the last time he went into the woods in the Spring/Summer, he did not get it.
So, we are thinking that the carrot juice is some sort of protective mechanism for the skin. I do not know that it would help heal your skin immediately, but many people drink carrot juice for many other reasons. It might be worth a try.
Keep in mind that if you have a subclinical yeast overgrowth problem, the carrot juice will exacerbate it because of its high natural
Sugar content.
