MoreThis is a reply to # 422,983You're avoiding the question. There are many naturopaths who have advised patients to stop their insulin without any mythical program to "restore" pancreatic function. Do you agree that Dr Robert Young doesn't claim to be able to take type I diabetics off insulin? Or haven't you actually read this book?

This is a reply to # 422,992I didn't read it. I think it would be a bit sad for me to write a story but the points I've made are completely accurate. You might like to recognise the fact but hey that's the problem.
There is no such modality as allopathic medicine - just scientific medicine. The alternatice is sCAM.

This is a reply to # 422,994The claims I made weren't outrageous and easily supported by posts here. All the time I see people quote about alternative therapies without any examination of the evidence. Johng quotes that someone had found a cure for type I diabetes when not even the author claims that. That's just one example.
I haven't seen much serious debate of alternative therapies here, if any. Have you seen any of the believers say about a particular therapy "I don't think that works"?- Re: ...but town of Allopath was grea... nick5

well, i would say that if a doc has a program in place to cure the diabetes, why wouldn't he at least offer the plan to a patient, including disclosure of risks? seems simple enough to me, not sure why you get your panties in a wringer over that. you know, the whole think about keeping your light under a bushel basket. would be such a shameful waste is all.
again, i guess you assume type 1 cannot be cured? if so, prove it.
