Hello Andreas,
I hope you had a great weekend.
As you may remember, I've have not been digesting my food for a long time. I'm following diet for my body type and sticking to an overall healthy diet (*most* of the time).
I have a couple of questions about digestion and probiotics.
Yoghurt is not advised so much for my body type, and I do prefer to avoid dairy. I do make "cultured" vegetables or raw saukraut with shredded cabbage, carrots, etc and sea salt and let them 'process' for two weeks (no cooking). Do you have any thoughts on this?
Also, I'm a little confused on the cooked vs raw foods. I understand the reason for cooking foods, but how much is too much. If I'm not digesting well, should I lightly cook my apples for example, and skip my salad before lunch? What about juicing?
We cook almost all south indian food here (learned from friends...lucky), but it really cooks down the veggies. Can you shed any light on this topic? I have an ayurevedic book which also gives recipes for different body types and the recipes are similar to what I follow.
Andreas, thanks for your continued input and thanks in advance for any light you can shed on the above.
With kind regards,
KarenMarie
