Hi, someone here mentioned subscribing to the coconut_info Yahoo group (was in Joanne?). I do too. Do you know how I can post a message without my email address showing? It posts a warning saying my email address will be included in the message but I can't find any way to stop it from doing that.
I'm not sure of the site but most yahoo groups allow you to change your profile whereby you edit whether you want your email to be revealed or not. Another way around it is to create a secondary email where it doesn't matter if people see it or not, and subscribe to the group using that account.
Fil, the coconut-info group (the one that has 5400 members) when you post it all shows one generic email address. It is heavily moderated with lots of rules, and I do not like not having all of my posts posted sometimes, but you never have to worry about your email address showing. Maybe that helps?...Caitlin Lorraine
Thanks Caitlin, but when I hit reply or post, it shows my email address and there is a warning that it will be shown. Does this automatically default to the generic address?
It goes to Brian to be moderated, and either it automatically changes to generic or he does that--not sure which. You can look at everyone at the messages on the site--all same email addresss. :) Hope that helps..
