Hey! I thought I did! LOL! It might have been lost in all this wonkyness. :) Or it was one of the few times I got frustrated with the wonkyness and didn't re-write a lost post. I have about 2-3 posts get lost a day grrrrrrrrrr!
Or maybe it was someone else who posted about divirticulitis. Argh! LOL!
If you have an extreme case - really weak "pockets" - then I'd recommend an enema over a colonic. Most
colonics techs just allow too much pressure. Do you have an enema bucket setup? It takes months to heal this, so it would be most cost effective. I got my setup from Health & Yoga in India for only 30 bucks! :)
The "Juicing for LIfe" book has excellent recommendations, and says that a high-fiber diet with probiotics is the best solution. The fiber has to be water soluble, which psyllium is, but you can add flax seed, pectin, oat bran as well.
completely avoid red meat, sweets, nuts, seeds, diary products (ecept for plain yoghurt), fried foods hot spices, junk food/snack food. This is important, because you have to make sure that you have normal stools ALL of the time.
And drink aloe vera juice, about 1/2 cup 2x a day. It really helps heal the mucosa lining and reduces swelling.
See my notes on how to eat for digestive poewr and bowel management for beginners. They're in my forum, "Ask Shelley." And if you post there you'll always get an answer from me. :)
Take care!
