This is a reply to # 407,705I woke up this morning and felt drawn to come in here to tell you how things are going. I feel it is time for me to take what was taken from me. As the oldest son, whose father and mother split when I was a young child, I missed my chance to be around an amazing man. My biological father is loved by so many people. He maintains healthy relationships with hundreds of people. He can barely write a coherent sentence but he can beat me at chess. He is uneducated but has a patent for an amazing invention. His invention has reduced the amount of electricity that buildings use by half but he ran out of steam before he could make his design an industry standard. His other sons(my half-brothers) love him dearly but they don't want his patent. They have taken another part of his legacy and are very successful. They are there own men now. In the sunset of his life, my father called me up to tell me about his invention but I was on another path. I was helping children learn lifeskills and creating networks of caring adults to support children who are at risk. I thought this was my calling and perhaps it was for a time but my finances began to crumble(A sign that God has something else in mind for me and I should move on?) and then I get the call.
My father has only in the last several years found God in a powerful way. I can hear God speaking through him sometimes when he talks to me. The father who substituted for my biological father is a good man and I learned many lessons from him but he doesn't consider my children to be his "real" grandchildren. It changed how I felt about our relationship. At this same time, the father I never knew(my biological father) wants me to be in his life, if I want to be. I am tempted to go back to helping families rebuild their lives in the not for profit world but here I am. I feel God has a hand in my reunion with my biological father. My father told me I should go down to the South where I could be involved in rebuilding the lives of those affected by hurricanes and also make a lot of money. For ten years, I have spurned work that was not related directly with non profits but with I have never had any advice from my father in my whole life so I figured I would check it out. I did go to the South and I ran across a devestated land with huge problems and I believe I was able to help others while also making a good living. I made more money in three months then I made in a whole year while I was helping those children(my legacy). Two of my children are now helpiing children and that makes me feel so proud. The 200 plus families I helped in the South needed me and each of them touched my life and I hope I touched theres as well. It was a difficult time though. I was very lonely away from my family. I was so close to having my utilities cut off before I left and now, I could survive for several months with what I have made.
I am no young kid myself any more. My calling has been helping people. Can I change my whole career at this point in my life? My father's patent could help change the world but it doen't look like a ministry to me. I guess I am changing my attitude about it as I am writing. I can see that God wants to give me what was taken from me so long ago. I am just not sure my vessel is big enough to receive it. I don't know my father's business. I know how to help children and families. This invention could indirectly help familes by reducing utility bills of office building and businesses I might be helping families? It is not an easy sell as far as a ministry goes but I am considering it. Instead for writing grants for children, perhaps I can be a donor? In any case, I feel I have made a decision to move to my father's town this summer with my family and give it a try.
Thank you for responding. I thought this place dried up. I appreciate your words. I did ask and my flesh is resisting. I need to "take back that which was lost." I am tempted to go back to my former calling but this later calling well allow me to do both. In Jesus name(Yahshua) I pray, amen.

Now Rudenski your options for your future how do they involve your family and baby daughter? Remember that by no means should your plans ever forsake your immediate family - that would not be God's plan. So be sure that whatever plans and options come your way be sure to include your family.
Other than that white tiger is right God has a plan, and even though we get that plan messed up at times God can still make it all work out, just honestly seek God with your questions and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in all your decision making. Always second guess what God would do if He were physically making these choices...
Lord God, I just ask that you make your plans for rudenski and his family apparent to him equip rudy with the wisdom and knowledge to plan for the future. I just pray Lord that you pour your Holy Spirit upon him to give him the strength and courage needed to lead a family and himself. AMEN.- Re: #2853

well it seems that i am talking to a lot of spiritually minded people about money and business these days, i guess its just something the Spirit is doing now. i am glad to see you are drawing close to your father, i am currenlty not talking to either one of my parents at the moment, and quite frankly i am fine with that.
i have a feeling that if you did not take this opportunity you would have a "what if...what if..." thing going on in your head for a long time. some doors open and you should run the other way, other doors open and you should walk thru. i guess you have to decide which this is.
i have always been the kind to be motivated by higher principals and have tried to amke my way based on what is truly best, not just what pays more or brings more glory or recognition. so i have neglected money issues for a long time, they are not my passion and there are so many other so much more important issues. then recently i have felt the Spirit really guiding me to pay attention to money and to clean up my finances and recognize the energy of money and what it does and what it can do. and how it is supposed to serve, but in reality so many allow it to rule. as a servant on this earth money can change lives and bless others, open door, and create a better world. as a master it destroys hearts and brings the proud to the heights of arrogance and often times to the depths of ruin (think enron).
God is showing me that money can be a very affective servant, IF i allow the Spirit to work at all times and am generous and giving and never stingy or covetous. money is just another form of energy, and as such can be used for wonerful things by the Spirit of Love and Faith. somehow listening to the Spirit and cleaning up my money issues is making me realize a lot of things, and i am really just at the beginning of the process but it is bringing blessings already. its like when you clean out a closet that has old crusty moldy junk in it, you just feel better about things. also i am tranforming my relationship with money, or rather the Spirit is doing it and i am allowing it to happen.
of course everything i just said about money can be applied to technology and the wonderful things technology can do for us, or the horrors it can bring, it all depends on the conditon of the heart of those who use it. technology is a creation, and God loves creativity, it is God's nature and God blesses those who are creative in any form with more creativity. a big part of the nature of love is creativity, and that includes art as well as technology. the artist and the mathemetician are both acting out differnt aspects of the creative power of love.
i am just typing whatever comes to mind as a response to your post. i am not really trying to answer a question, just give feedback. i hope you find value in what i have to say. i know i have been blessed by many of your posts here in curezone and i want ot say thank you for that and to wish blessings and glory on whatever path you choose. i pray the Spirit of Wisdom and Honor guide you in this decision. amen.

This is a reply to # 407,709I don't have a single memory of my father as an infant. I visited him a few times as a child but even then we did not form a close relationship. He called me this morning while I was responding to this post. It suprised me. I think maybe we might be finally developing a healthy relationship after a liftime of abscence. I just see this as an opportunity to take back something that was taken from me. I believe God has been providing little opportunities for years to make this possible.One was a seed my father planted about ten years ago with a phone call and few brief encounters. I hope in your own situation with your parents that you can move beyond judgement to see the bright beautiful souls beneath. Maybe there may be little openings that may come along that will allow some seeds to be planted. It doesn't have to be forced. Some plants take years to germinate.
As far as finances go, I have never been as finacially sound as I am now. Venturing out into the profit world was very profitable. I believe God was(is) testing me to see if I can handle it. I allowed myself to be tempted while I was away but God seems to make it easy for me to avoid following though on temptations. I don't do a very good bad guy. It takes a skill set that I can't seem to make work for me. I always thought we have free-will but some of it is preprogrammed and then there is supernatural interference. If I start drumming up support for doing something God doesn't want me to do, I get sidetracked by circumstances God creates to make it impossible for me to follow through on my unGodly designs. I know there are angels running defense for me though. I could get in hot water if I was scrutinized for intent. God has this plan for me and I get help when I start getting out of line.
Just knowing there is this plan out there makes me realize my life is not my own. When things start going astray it usually starts off with diminishing finances. Relationship problems sometimes follow financial signs. In any case, things start heating up when I don't follow the plan. I start getting dreams about dying and things like that. If all else fails and I am way off track, I usually end up with a busted neck(three times now). I am trying to get to a point where I don't have to break my neck for God to get my attention. While recovering, I have to talk to God because I can't work and get preoccupied with worldy things. I would rather stay tuned in and avoid the train wrecks. My neck is in perfect condition these days and I want to keep it that way.
I hope to turn this new path in my life into a ministry but it is a hard sell to me. In the mean time, before this summer, I will write some grants for some things I started before I get too buried in the profit world and pick up some opportunites to teach a few children how to canoe and kayak safely this spring( I just received a call from a non profit needing some teachers). I know it is not going to be the last chance I have to work with kids again. I hope I can find a way to balance my life and make it possible to make money and help kids out.
Maybe God needs me to work on the big people for a while? While I was working with people affected by hurricanes, most of the people I met were retired or mich older people. I figured out they needed help too. Maybe, my new path is to help ordinary people who work, pay taxes, and now they are having problems paying their bills because of the cost of energy? I haven't figured it out yet. Maybe we all need some help and I am part of some people's prayers to make things better? I wonder what I said to God that created my present circumstances? I know it had something to with my father and finances. I need a big enough vision to make it worth doing for me. I hope I am ready for it. I can feel it coming and it feels like it is going to be big. I just hope my supernatural guidance system keeps me on trac. I haven't figured out if it is high tech or low tech but I sure know I want to be listening for the cues.
You always make me think about deeper soul stu-ff. Thanks for being there.

As I read your post, I could not help but notice the introspection you are sharing with The Lord (your personal relationship with The Lord must be 'nothing to sneeze at'!). I hope your neck problems are only figurative, not literal. The Lord is LOVE and our perceptipon of Him matters (as a PERSONAL relationship). The Lord is not so stringent as we are taught. Just as our father in childhood tolerated our clumsiness and inability to be perfect (they are expressions of SELF, we are the offspring of "I am who I am" SELF...Exodus 3:14 long explanation), so will The Lord (unless our devotion chooses Him to be a dictator, then we will have to 'measure up'). The Lord understands that we are exposed to many distractions in daily life and that He doesn't always have our undivided attention (the flesh is weak), but we always have His attention. TRUE love does not make sense, it is irrational and not based on any logical reasoning (necessarily so). There are no TYPES of love (agape, philos, eros, and storge are love RELATIONSHIPS, not love itself, "God is love"..."God is ONE" Galatians 3:20). The compassion that you display is what The Lord really requires of us (Matthew 9:13), not the bureuacratic and partisan compliance with the pages of a book in order to show up the pharisees. Christianity is not a dictatorship, it is a devotion to "I am who I am" (His name forever) and the three manifestations of His grace towards us (Creation, salvation, and His living character). So don't let your disappointments in yourself slow you down. Whatever we do, whatever the manner of our devotion to Him, we should be passionate about what we do, not indifferent about whatever confronts us in life, either cold or hot ("...lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot..." Revelation 3:16). Through His Spirit, we live...

This is a reply to # 407,711What strikes me the most about your post is how you are exposing what I see as the rough edge of my relationsip with God and my implied lack of free-will. I am very sensitive to spiritual manipulation and I can tell you that while I do believe God is love and I do believe God alows us free will, I also believe... at least for me... that every time I get out of line with God's plan for life, I pay a heavy price. I have broken my neck once and severely reinjured it twice. I am not saying God injured my neck but rather, God has this plan for my life and when I am not paying attention to this plan, I get kicked around pretty strongly with physical and emotional attacks from the world. If I stay in tune with God's loving plan in my life, miraculous things happen but when I start following the plans the world has for me, I often receive devastaing results. I certainly agree that following the guidelines of scripture(most especially the parts about loving your neighbor as yourself and loving God with all of your heart soul & mind) are not only guidelines but rather they are also a blueprint for how to avoid pain. If you follow those two guidelines then no one gets hurt but as soon as I move beyond those two main guidelines, things start unraveling for me quickly. I think that sometimes I am on a short leash with God because of the severe repurcussions I receive for non-compliance of those two guidelines.
When I was baptised, God spoke to me and angels the cheering angels that surrounded me and God said, "He is set aside." I don't very well know what that means but I have come to realize that set aside means I am part of some plan for the future
and I have a feeling that I have to prepare the vessel that is my body, spirit, and mind for this future event that depends on me making lots of free-will choices.
I have been blessed my whole life with the miraculous while doing works for God but my personal life has been a rollercoaster. Being God centered makes one look like very out of place in the world. I often pay attention to my spiritual life as my worldly life's expense. I believe I may be coming to a point in my life where God is going to open up a fountain of blessings for me in the physical world. I just pray that I can be a big enough vessel to receive it and not push my spirtual life aside.
I pray for a greater vessel to receive the blessings God has for those who follow the plan of life. I pray that I can avoid the snares and keep my flesh in line as well. I
was given a word from God that if I could get my flesh in line that I would get a blessing so large that I could not receive it all and it was implied that it would be so large a blessing that it would spill out on others as well. This is a similar word
I had some ten tears ago with my spiritual walk but I believe this new word is about physical and spiritual blessings. I am trying to get my spirit and flesh right and I guess my bickering with my flesh spilled out into my message. I am trying to be as honest as I can about my walk with God without being too tough on myself. I know there are many hidden things that I have to work on that I can not bare to say though. I also paray that God will gently heal those hidden things without the severe repercussions(can you see the word repair in repercussions?) I guess my complaining about getting burned when I play with fire appears to be out of line though. Fire burns.
I hope my raw expressions about my relationship with God don't make you think I don't love God. I do. It is just that the road is narrow and I even step to the edge of the road I get a lot of suffering. It doesn't seem like free-will at times to me because I can see the road clearly but my flesh doesn't always like the path where my soul would take it. The place God is leading me now is somwhere I have never been. My flesh resists but rather than break my neck or get swallowed by a fish, I think I will go....

This is a reply to # 407,712I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to this forum earlier, but my job search doesn't make it easy. The most important part of Christianity is what the god of confusion wants to keep us from discovering...our PERSONAL relationship with The Lord. Just as God has many names in the bible, satan has different names also. As the name "god of confusion" suggests, satan doesn't just rely on lies to keep us from discovering the truth, simple MISUNDERSTANDING (misinformation) is effective also and is much harder to dispute because it forms the BASE (premise), not just for our beliefs, but our thinking, attitudes, and even subconcious. The misinformation that we (the human race) are prone to accept is based on our insecurities as human beings, but of course, also our inabilities. We read the bible with shame, guilt, humiliation, and intimidation thinking that God is a mean spirited God because we have the idea that He is like us. WE are the mean spirited ones because human nature requires that we be in competition with each other instead of SHARE (Romans 6:19 "I speak to you in human terms...").
The Lord tells us that human nature is human folly (foolishness). We cannot really understand the nature of God until we understand human nature (and understand that evil is illogical because it prevents harmony, harmony is the objective in life, isn't it?).
One of the first misunderstandings is that Adam and Eve ate from the tree of good and evil, they did not, they ate of the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil (conscience). As their offspring, we have inherited the ability to know right from wrong and are therefore held accountable for 'sin' (the ancient Hebrew code of guidelines for proper Jewish living, 'propriety' for that culture) and other wrongdoings. Sin would have made us ineligible to return to God in heaven (anything contrary to conscience is sin, Romans 14:23), so God sent us a savior (the second manifestation of His graciousness to us, the first was creation). In order to know God more deeply, it is necessary to leave the elementary doctrine of Christ (Hebrews 6:1) and discover the depths of God (1 Corinthians 2:10) so that we become more aware of the severe effects of evil (Hebrews 5:14, but also DISTINGUISH, like a two-sided coin) instead of fanatical, incompassionate bookkeepers of sin and its demerits (like the pharisees or Boy Scouts), but adopt the third manifestaion of His grace,...His living character, The Holy Spirit, to form our faculties (heart, mind and conscience). We must learn to think differently and HEAR the Word of God instead of READ what we 'think' it is (John 8:47 "He who HEARS the word..."). Ephesians 6:17 tells us that the [dividing] SWORD of the SPIRIT (heart of God) is the word that we should listen to (because it proceedeth out of the MOUTH of God). The bible is only the "word of truth" and the good news about salvation (Ephesians 1:13 and 2 Timothy 2:15).
The 'GOOD' deeds that we perform according our human ways of thinking usually include some small bit of 'necessary evil' (so that there is a mixture of good and evil), but in The Lord's ways (which stay the same regardless of circumstances), there is no middle ground between good and evil (right is right, and wrong is wrong, and never the twain shall meet), no shadow or variation (James 1:17), after all, His mission was not to bring peace to the EARTH (like the zealots and Barrabas wanted,...which would allow everyone to continue doing whatever they wanted regardless of any kind of morals), but to introduce to humanity a DIVISION between right and wrong so that we could CAUSE good for our fellow human being instead of evil (Luke 12:51).
There are two requirements in the bible for anyone who wants to "...draw near to God..." (Hebrews 11:6):
1) believe that He exists,
2) believe that He rewards those who seek Him.
I have not read that this is only a one shot deal and can only be done once as an unbeliever (or should we believe that God expected the bible would be read by unbelievers and others who wouldn't care enough to read the bible?). The trouble is that we expect our rewards to be self-serving or heroic trials, but what if The Lord wanted you to suffer (or LET you suffer) for His own amusement of some kind (like Job, The Lord loves to be loved/praised/glorified, and The Lord was well able to enjoy what Job did, The Lord was well glorified in Job's steadfast love). I would await the opportunity to do the same for my Lord, but I wouldn't think that such an opportunity would be necessary to show my love for Him after a lifetime of pursuing a deeper relationship with Him (even beyond the promise of spiritual damnation if I left the Catholic church when I was 10 years old). If you want to draw closER to Him, you have to learn to be content with the fact that you are the clay and He is the potter (so was Job, sure Job lamented, but who wouldn't?).
Christianity is traditionally taught as an element of human nature. It is as though we try to put 'Godlove' in human terms (Romans 6:19) and are taught that there is an empircal (logical) understanding of Him. We are taught that each individual's devotion to Him should be the same, as though we are not unique individuals, but robots/puppets/zombies. He, the Wonderful Counselor, can be our therapist, confidant and companion for any situation and hurt that we ever experience with a pure heart/conscience (1 Corinthians 15:28 "...so that God may be everything to everyone...").
The worst teaching I can imagine in mainstream Christianity is that there are TYPES of love (agape, philos, eros, and storge, THESE ARE types of love RELATIONSHIPS). Since God is love, it is EXTREMELY important for a Christian to understand what love is. Common sense tells you that it is simply an attitude of mind/heart/conscience, but the god of confusion has been successful with even the elect for centuries because we are encouraged by our human nature to only understand things according to human ways. There are no TYPES of God, there are three manifestations of His grace, but God is ONE (Galatians 3:20). Just to keep the proper perspective of what love is, neither are their 'types' of hatred. God is singular and INTEGRAL (all creation is part of His grace). Only unbelievers should fear God (1 John 4:18 and Isiaih 29:13).
"I am who I am" (Exodus 3:14) wants us to be like Him and be imitators of Him (1 Corinthians 4:16) by establishing who we are, and giving ourselves to Him.
So, avoid the partisanship of being a boy scout, and the bureaucratic compliance of a pharisee or word-filled Christian (Phillipians 1:17), and fall in love with the hero of humanity, the white knight of salvation, Jesus Christ, and let His living character teach you how to resemble Him wherever you go. Take care how you let the teachings of this world matter to you, He is a jealous God and wants to be your ultimate spiritual authority. As long as you are a good student, you will learn well and the Spirit will yearn jealously (James 4:5).
Don't let expectations weigh you down, REST in The Lord. Dance with Him and let Him lead. Let there be no constraints on your love, no conditions of compliance with the rules of a church or pastor or anyone, your sense of love and devotion is your own and from your heart, that is what The Lord wants. Heaven will only have stupid Christians in it that don't correctly understand every verse in the bible, but have learned very well and have emulated what God is...LOVE.
