i can certainly understand that. i have always loved the bible and have heard all kinds of people talk about it. however, i have learned over the years that much of what i picked up in that way was incorrect. i would not trust any man for answers. other people can get us thinking and i am glad you have gotten some ideas from me, but do not believe me or anyone else but god. he will tell you whether something is of him or not. he speaks in a still, small voice and it takes some time to be able to tell it is him. the scriptures are our guide, but even they can be misinterpreted. you will find looking inward for the answers will produce better results in getting to know god. there is nothing wrong with making mistakes or being wrong as long as when we realize our mistakes, we admit them and learn. i have found that god never gives up. only we can do that. the best teacher is obedience. as john the revelator says, quoting christ, being hot or cold(right or wrong) is ok. it is when we do nothing and are lukewarm and allow others to do our thinking for us that god will spew us out. notice these are those who are already in christ that can get spewed out. there are no bench warmers in gods game.

talking to god is crazy if you expect an answer?

this is the guy who said. " Striving to please and "good works" are the Devils way"

and NOBDY thought there was anything wrong with that or brought him to task!!!!!
