"So why did Jesus trained his disciples, told them to start churches, said that we are all of the same body?"
jesus did not tell his disciples to start churches. the disciples did not do what jesus said to do. they did what they thought was right instead.
jesus said:
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
yes there were those that obeyed, people like stephen. but what did the twelve do?
2Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
3Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
4But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
5And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
so why were the twelve still in jerusalem? and what did the lord specifically tell these twelve about being a servant?
35And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
but that didnt seem to make sense to them either.
so they stayed in jerusalem instead of going out into the world and they saw no good reason for them to be involved in the service themselves. yes, this was the beginning of the church as we know it today. no, it was not something jesus said to do, quite the opposite.
i hope that these scriptures clarify this point for you. as for being all in the same body, yes, he did say that. but the body is in the spirit, not in the flesh. the body is the temple, and you know what sign jesus pointed to for this - the temple was destroyed, razed to the ground, as it is written, no stone touching another. also, he said smite the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. the true sheep did scatter, and the twelve did eventually get the message, especially when the romans destroyed the whole city in 70AD. i wonder what some of them did for forty years?
we are the salt of the earth. salt does no good while still in the shaker. it must be distributed evenly throughout the food for it to make it all palatable(have flavor). the dwelling place of god is not made by human hands, or designs. to keep things in perspective, we must realize that our thoughts are not his thoughts, our ways are not his ways, and what seems right to man is an abomination to god.
