I would like to have a rife machine, but you could buy a used car for the price of one! They're all 2000 bucks.

I don't know much about "real" Rife machines but I can tell you a way to try out the idea very cheaply.
Like you I had very little money to spare and looked around for a budget option; this is what I came up with:
a pc is a very smart piece of kit and should be easily capable of generating a frequency output.
There are various sites that will tell you how to adapt your pc to be a Rife generator ( for use with contact pads, obviously).
These are two excellent Rife sites -
Jimmie Holman's site at holman.net, and
Our Life House at ourlifehouse.com
(sorry can't do links yet!)
which give lots of practical advice.
This is the idea:
1.install frequency generating software on your pc.
2.split the output from your soundcard to a seperate audio amplifier which then becomes your Rife amplifier ( a 3.5mm jack splitter lead is cheap and easy to buy)
3. the loudspeaker output from the amplifier is connected to contact pads which you place on your skin.
4. you run your preprogrammed frequency set having set the volume on the amplifier so that you are just aware of a sensation.
Here's a few more things - some people make their own contact pads, I use TENS pads which are cheaply available on the net.
For frequency generating software you can download a simple program on Jimme Holman's site for free. I prefer to use Timo Esser's "Rife Generator" shareware which I downloaded for $20.
A Google search will give you a variety of sites where you can get it. The advantage is that it can be preprogrammed with sets which are stored as text files and take up v little space on your drive.Oh and remember to set to square wave each time as it defaults to sine wave.
Altogether I put this together for about £30 so at least I can experiment with it. I have successfully "blasted" a verrucca although other problems are more resistant (diagnosis is required).
The drawback is that there is no man/machine feedback (other than what you feel) so treatment is trial and error.
Hopefully, some of the more knowledgable people on this site will recommend a machine which scans you (like the Fscan?),but which is cheap to acquire,in which case I would also be interested.
Hope this helps -it's certainly fun to do!
Regarding safety I haven't noticed any ill effects yet except for some detoxing on the next day.

Towards the bottom of the page there is a list of frequencies associated with conditions, and below that is another list of tones that one can play while online. Since I have a breast lump, I clicked on the frequency for sarcoma a few times and thought nothing more about it. Hours later, I felt the lump and discovered that it had changed its shape! It was formerly broad, but now it's more narrow, and it's deeper. I don't know how this can be causally related, but it's so clearly temporally related that it seems causal as well.
This makes me think that rife is probably the technology for me to experiment with. I was wondering how to get sound to penetrate more deeply, as the lump changed from broad to deep. I don't have the bucks for an expensive machine. But how to get the tone INSIDE me? What about singing -- matching the tone would match the frequency, wouldn't it? Or what about exposing myself for a good length of time to relevant tones in something like a church organ? I know that the lower the tone on a pipe organ, the more penetrating the vibration. I've felt the building tremble from the foundation upwards on some of the instrument's lowest tones. Maybe if I played the organ's lowest version of the note tones surrounding the relevant frequencies I'd have the effect I'm looking for?

thanks for asking, but I have to tell you that I'm a Rife novice. However I'll give you my thoughts and hopefully one of the many experts on this list will also answer.
Firstly, I'm really impressed that you would try something as strange as this, and also that you seemed to get a change. Good for you!
Now the problem here is how to get the desired frequency to where it needs to go - this is a question of power. I think that audio broadcast will work "in principle" but may not deliver sufficient power. In terms of broadcast power the next medium up would be light as per Rife's original technology and now available as Bare-Rife and other variants (these are expensive to buy but seem to have a good press).
I believe that the cheapest way of delivering frequency to the body is a contact pad system, either home-made as I suggested or via a reputable device (it seems that the Fscan is good).
Back to your question, I like the idea of the church organ but I'm not sure that it would deliver enough power to get the job done.
Also if you're serious about self-treating you need to supplement the specific sarcoma frequency with others to combat infection and help cellular healing. I suggest that you look up the Crane frequency set at OurLifeHouse.com (less confusing than CAFL for beginners).And maybe see a real Rifer who may have experience of these things.

it turns out that my physical symptoms are secondary to emotional ones (anxiety) so Rife is not the best way for me to go ( I'm trying EFT).
However I believe that if you have a truly physical based problem then it will sort it (it did very quickly with my verrucca).
It's certainly worth giving it a go as a pc based system is really cheap (get yourself some TENS pads to make application easier).
Also another interesting site is Bruce Stenulson's (http://www.stenulson.net/althealth/)with different ideas on how to use the technology.
