God has such unexpected ways of healing the past hurts in our lives; He affords us the opportunity to help those who are hurting or struggling, and in the process our own hurts go. As the song says "the things on earth grow strangely dim".
This is a wonderful thing you are working on, my full support to you on it.
Just a couple of days ago my best friend called me to put me in touch with a friend of hers from her church. This lady suffered some sort of unexpected massive embolism, or something of the sort, and she was in a coma for quite some time. Doctors did not expect her to live, and they said if she did she would have severe brain damage. But this lady is a devout believer and has many brethren who wouldn't listen to the bad report. She was prayed for round the clock, and eventually came out of her coma. She took a few months to recouperate and all that was left of her trauma is a somewhat impaired memory at certain times.
The lady is grateful to God for her miracle, and having been a professional grant writer, she now wants to devote herself to writing grants for needy people at no charge. My friend thought that maybe we could expand our little business and try to get a grant for my daughter's school (very badly needed)
So out of this woman's ordeal, with the Lord's help, others will be blessed. So how's that, eh? :-)
