I read the hate mail. Seems the responses from some Jewish individuals (I am assuming due to the context are Jewish) are proposing it is a lie. Here is a link one of them provided to combat it: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Cyprus/8815/

The site is over dramatic. It wants to stir up hate. HealthFreak calls it being informed but it targets a group of people, a race ...and is attempting to feed hate. So what if its even true which I do not believe it is and if it was... what else is new? The Jews are God's chosen people. They crucified Christ. They may strongly oppose Christianity. So what. They are still beloved. They are still watched closely and loved by God with an intense longing for them. Lots of people hate what Christianity stands for so why target Jews and try to get people all stirred up over it? So it can fill our hearts with gasping and hate? So I will see a Jewish friend and secretely hate them in my heart with all my new knowledge? No thanks.

True repentance is the reason one says the prayer to begin with, and although baptism is recommended as a public demonstration of faith, it is not an absolute requirement for salvation.

I want to start by saying that I am a student in Christ. I do not consider myself an authority on Hell. I just happen to be studying that subject right now. I came across that site and found it very interesting and could'nt wait to post it to see what my brothers and sisters thought. I value and respect everyones opinion here.

My salvation started with a similar prayer. This prayer I believe is meant to be an example.

After I accepted Jesus into my heart and acknowledged the fact that I was a sinner, repentance naturally followed. I was baptized several months later. I recall having an intense relationship with the lord filled with the holy spirit before my baptism. I do believe that If I had died before the baptism I would have been in the Lords arms forever.
