I am doing a english paper about mary shelly's frankenstein and it's comparison to modern "frankenstein" situations in movies... such as the distraught parents who have lost a child, and turn to a scientist to take cells from their dead child and clone another.
I remember seeing a movie about this, and it was a suspence-thriller type. It had a boy that died at the age of nine, and was cloned. when he reached the age of nine, wierd things started to happen to him, the family, and the doctor. I remember him being hit by a car. If anyone knows the name of this movie, please respond so that I can go and find a summary of the movie's plot and watch it again to reference it in my paper.
another movie I saw was on lifetime **i know it's not a REAL movie, but close enough, right?**... and it had this couple having a clone of their daughter who died. The doctor tried to keep it a secret, but somehow it got out into the public and it was a real big display. In the end, the doctor told the public that the baby had died of some sickness, but in actuality, the baby and family was placed into hiding to try to live a normal life. The reporter who was exploiting them found this out at the end, but decided to keep the public thinking the baby was dead. I dont know the title of it, but I remember the plot.
Another one on lifetime had to do with twins. I didn't see the movie, only because it was kinda scary. it came out during the halloween season, and I beleive this women went though artificial insamination and became pregnant with twins. All I know is that somehow they are wierd and possibly evil, and she finds out later that they are clones or something like that.... is any of this seeming familiar to anyone?
if anyone has any other movie ideas pertaining to dead people or children being cloned after they have died, please respond so that I can use them for my paper. Thanks so much for the help!!
