Just kidding...sort of.
I've been trying and failing at doing a long fast for fifteen years, and through that I've learned exactly how my body and mind works with these things. The temptation is there, your mind says "why not just a piece of broccoli and then you can continue" if you acquiesce, you generally start to tumble until you find yourself at the cornerstore grabbing a chocolate bar.
I've learned that taking it day by day and reminding yourself of how far you've gone and how today is one less day on your trip is the best remedy. Also realize that it's not that hard to NOT head to the fridge. It's all about keeping your ass planted, drinking more lemonade, and reminding yourself how short 21 days is in comparison to all of the years you've fed yourself crap. If the cravings exist, turn that into excitement about what great healthy things you'll make after this is done.
Through this site you're learning of the true benefits of a long fast. I find that the deep cleansing didn't start until after the ten days were done. And, yes, I am only doing the master cleanse...no liver flush...and the toxin release (aside from my sore red nose) was painless. Even with this snotfest I'm on now, I can still say that days 1-3 were way worse. This fast has been relatively trouble free. Imagine! If you can hold out for 21 days, cravings will pretty much be the only challenge you'll have. Even without the stones, the health changes have been massive. Not to mention that I've lost 26 pounds...that's kinda nifty.
Picture yourself healthier, more vibrant, with soft, soft skin (I can't get over mine), a calmer disposition, able to exercise more (it's not just about weight loss...you'd be amazed at how my running has improved just because I have less toxins!), normalizing blood pressure, getting rid of asthma,
Acne and what have you. People see a difference...it's in your energy.
I don't think you can lose by a 3 week vacation from food.
Honestly, I am so glad I've come this far...I would do it again if I felt I needed to.
Hope this helps.
