In The Light "Champion Spirit"March, 2004 by Lapis In The Light is a new feature here at Curezone where, periodically, an inspirational member of Curezone will be featured in an interview. Currently Team Curezone has chosen Ami Benton, known to Curezone members as “Wrenn,” for this honor. She is one of those rare people who embody what can be best called "Champion Spirit". You will soon see why as her story is revealed in this interview. Ami, I am truly honored to be able to interview you and share your special qualities with the members of Curezone. Let me begin by first telling you that you have struck a cord in me as well as many people at Curezone as an inspiring person who's presence makes Curezone and our world a better place. You exude a powerful essence, an essence of never giving up, and a champion spirit. Thank you for being here Ami. First of all I am curious what brought you here to Curezone? My son was browsing the web and found Curezone. He was very stunned by the image gallery, and shared it with my daughter, who then shared it with me. So we all decided to get on a parasite treatment program. That led us to do more research, which led us to the detoxification protocols listed here at Curezone. We're glad you found your way here. Please tell us a little about yourself and your healing journey thus far. Let me touch on my circumstances over the past decade without getting into too much detail. This picture is of me prior to me becoming ill. At the time this picture was taken, I was in top athletic tone with only 17 % body fat. I worked out strenuously every day in addition to maintaining and caring for my family and children etc. Since then, the hair on my head has grown to waist length. I have gained a lot of weight due to edema. I have not had my picture taken recently. I will break down and have one taken this spring as a kind of coming out of my cocoon sort of thing,“The new and improved Ami”. * smile*Anyhow, due to circumstances beyond my control, I went thru a series of events that left me physically dead. I was in and out of coma for a period of time due to severe head injuries and a breakdown of my body functions. This left me with a great many problems to heal, emotionally, physically, and mentally. Because of this, my body was unable to function properly and because of the enforced sedentary situation; I ended up getting bloated, endemic and highly toxic. I spent a great many years rebuilding normal physical ability to talk properly again, to eat properly again without drooling or choking and to walk again without aid. It was about at this point in my progress that I came to Curezone after close to 12 years of rebuilding my life . Sounds like you endured some really traumatic events. Can you elaborate? Without going into all the gory details, I was targeted and sadistically broken down, physically, mentally and spiritual. I was the victim of an incredibly abusive relationship that left me in my previously mentioned state. It is such an unreal story. It was an unwilling adventure into darkness, pain and anguish. Through the incredible trauma, I blocked out much of the details, but I still have the severe emotional and physical scars to heal from. I'm doing the best I can in that regard. I'm sorry to hear of the serious abuse you encountered. It is hard for me to imagine what someone in your shoes must have gone through, what you had to endure. You obviously have the endurance of someone who embodies a champion spirit. First you survived it all and then you got your power back and began your healing journey. Many people would have given up. You chose not to. Good for you! By utilizing knowledge you found at Curezone and other informative alternative health sites, what changes have you experienced? Changes I have seen in past 4 months after using knowledge from Curezone include:
These are really but a sampling of the things that have improved. Every day it seems I will do another thing, like open a jar that I could not do before, and then I think WOW! One more thing I can do again. Products I now use due to Curezone knowledge:
With newly gained knowledge of metal toxins, I have discarded all Teflon stuff and replaced with Visionsware and enameled and Lexan utensils and glass liquid storage containers. I have purchased Andreas books, "The Amazing Liver Cleanse" and "The Key to Health & Rejuvenation" . I have found them to be very informative. Also, I now use energized stones and prillbeads (gained from info on his forum). I am thankful for all of the incredible and helpful tips from so many people in the Curezone forums. If I were to name everyone, I know I would leave out some by accident, so I will just say thanks to this entire great group of people. Through many of your sharings, I have gained much knowledge in my current interests like skin care products, organic food, health news, recipe tips, and spiritual insights. I also enjoy receiving support when doing my master cleanses and liver flushes. What are your current goals? My current goal is to proceed after my New Year's Celebration, with gathering and practicing more of the knowledge I continue to learn from Curezone. Also, I will be fulfilling personal goals /etc., in other areas and trying to maintain a disciplined approach to time management in order to meet all these areas of desired growth. Where do you draw your inspiration from in life? There are 3 different areas that inspire me, yet all seem to echo the same idea. First would have to be Jean Du Arc, hands down. She was a woman, a child, a simple uneducated girl, yet, led by her faith, she freed France from a 100- year war. She did it without ever striking anyone. She was a child of peace, who by following her faith led a revolt in the the liberation of her county. She was, and still is to my knowledge, the youngest person to ever hold the rank of Commander in Chief of an entire Military of any Nation. On top of this, she was female. My next inspiration comes from the Iroqouis speaking Nations/tribes of America. They organized themselves into a mini United States with a governing system (upon which much of the constitution was based on btw) that lasted at least 300 years before the Europeans even set foot in America. I value this heritage greatly since it is a part of my maternal ancestry. They were certainly far from the brutal ignorant savages that they were made out to be by those that betrayed them and took away their rights of natural ownership of lands they had inherited by right of birth. It was nothing less than genocide. Lastly I find great inspiration in the beliefs of the warrior within, the way of Budo, Samurai, or call it what you will. These are my role models. We have the choice to be like them and we all hold the ability to manifest all of their powers. If we make the right choices, with good intent, I have no doubt we could turn the entire world around into one of peace, love and mutual respect of each other's individual rights. What are some of your interests and hobbies? What do you do for fun? This is a hard question in a way for me to answer., I am still at a crossroads with decisions that will no doubt influence my future. There are things from the past that I used to do, but cannot pursue anymore due to who I am now and my current situation, but I might find a new way yet to incorporate them into my life. Other things, some of which I always wanted to pursue, but was too busy to give my full attention to, I feel I now have the time to study and grow in those areas. Here is a conglomerate of it all: dancing, martial arts/weaponry, writing, herbs, and vegetable and berry gardens. I want to learn more about using herbs in making my own organic cosmetics and healing. I would like to learn to make my own jewelry utilizing healing gem-stones to help grow more spiritually by spending time meditating with them. I would love to build a teepee in my backyard for private meditation and in spring and fall for sleeping in because I enjoy sleeping out doors. I would like to play around with a radio- controlled car, and I would love to go go-karting. I am determined to ride a bike again, even though my kids laugh at me about this. *smile* Now I have to rise to the challenge and prove them wrong (joking). I would like to get past my emotions concerning people and public places, and rebuild my strength so that I can swim again. I love swimming because it is so good for you. I have always been able to swim in the past and now it is something I deeply miss in my life. I also want to pursue painting, sewing, singing, and playing music again. Perhaps I will do these things in different ways though due to new perspectives I have gained. Oh, and I also want to be able to do cartwheels again. I used to always say that I would be doing cartwheels at the age of 80. I may have hit a slight pothole for now, but darned if that is going to stop me. *wink* Most of all I want to keep focused on being happy and continue to find humor in things. One of the saddest things today is that we have become such a serious minded society. When one loses joy, then honestly, what is left? What are your favorite forums and why? That is a tough one, since I really like them all. Of course I am in 7th heaven now that Curezone opened the Beauty Aids Forum. This is an area I want to develop in personally, so it will be great. I like the Crystal Healing Forum. It is my goal this upcoming year to learn to make my own jewelry, and just as surely as herbs have properties that help bring about healing, so do gems. We are energy beings and gems have I also like the Master Cleanse Forum because it reminds me of when I first logged on to Curezone. I try to refrain from posting there now, because there are folks that regularly advise so well there and can be clearly understood. (and we all know how terrible my typing can get) *laugh* I love the Consciousness and Awareness Forum because folks there seem so open-minded and feel comfortable delving into pretty much any relative topic. It is very refreshing to hear all the different views and ideas with so little friction between people, considering the diversity of this forum topic (much to the credit of the open mindedness of the regular posters there). Another top choice would have to be the News: Breaking Health News Forum. It is brimming with incredible, helpful knowledge. I am thankful to those who dig up these important new stories on a regular basis and bring them in to share with us. And of course I like the Jokes forum. I think it is healthy to laugh. It always makes my day a little brighter to read some of the hilarious jokes that some people post. What would you like to say to fellow Curezonians? I would say thank you, thank you, thank you, and thank you, to every person that comes here to share and give support. When I post for support, I never fail to find a ready group of people who share excellent advice. All of you help me so much. Also, it feels good when I can help someone by posting information. It is nice to know that I too have something to offer. I also enjoy socializing at Curezone since this is my main source of interaction with others besides my children. Thanks to all of you who have helped to bring me this far. Reread my improvements to see just how far that has been. All thanks to everyone at Curezone! I offer my deep gratitude to each person that has shared in such wonderful things for me and for everyone. I especially would like to thank those of you who have dedicated years of study for knowledge that you so generously share with us who have lost trust in our doctors, and you do it all with genuine concern and love. You restore my faith in the meaning of the word HEALER. To Dusan who has created and nurtured Curezone, thank you. I am sure every one that has passed through here has walked away a better and healthier person. Thank you , every single one of you, with my sincerest gratitude. Let me throw the classic question at you. At the end of your life, how would you like to be remembered? EXIT as you have become. You may not have control over environmental things, or social occurrences (it rains on us all), but you can choose how you deal with it. No matter how small or seemingly imperceptible the steps are, you are constantly in the state Someone once asked me, what would I want on my gravestone? I said, " She moved trees". It was a joking reply in reference to the fact that for many years where I previously lived, the neighbors thought I was funny because every spring I was seen rearranging my plants and yard, moving trees around. I even managed to give quite a few away which have all matured nicely now. In particular, one stick I watered every day, had folks stopping and laughing. Some would say" oh, I see you're watering your stick again". Some years later that stick grew into a major tree, which has become a landmark on that street. *smile* I think we can do anything if we set our minds to it. Even if we don't see immediate changes, they are happening, nonetheless, by our constant determination. We can help bring our own visualizations into reality as long as we stay the course. So again...
Do you have any closing thoughts Ami? I believe most strongly in the eternal spirit within us all. I think we must all learn to see clearly how distracted we get by the daily routines of a physical life on earth and thus not fully living in the expanded perspective of the eternal view. I think this is a path we all must discover for ourselves. My goal is to lead a happy, peaceful life full of joy, and love. In summary, the biggest common trait of these things, is that even what seems to be the smallest thing in the eyes of humanity, can actually be the greatest force of all, with the right vision. It is my hope that someday I will evolve enough, that any contact a person has with me will leave them with more peace, happiness, laughter and joy. I may never reach that goal in full before my earth days are over, but I will forever be on the path of BECOMING. I guess you could say that even in death, you "become" a bit further in your eternal life, you just move on to a greater aspect. Thanks Ami for sharing your thoughts in health and happiness. As far as reaching your goal of bestowing peace, happiness, laughter and joy on your fellow human beings, I think you're already there my friend. Thank you for helping us all BECOME. See you in the forums.
