Hi Raingirl. I'm glad you wrote in response to my posting. My son and I have been using NAET for about 8 years now. It is helpful for fibromyalgia and other illnesses that are sensitivity caused.
We also live in the Maple Valley area. My Naturopathic Doctor was Dr. Jennifer McCollum. She works out of Schuck Holistic Health in South Seattle. She also will see you in her home, which is in North Seattle. Too far for me to drive. Don't see Dr. Schuck. But see Dr. Jennifer. She is very good and could help you start to get well.
It takes awhile and might mean many treatments to get there. I do not advocate other naturopathic treatments, but this I do.
We spent a fortune in supplements, nutrients, etc, and to no avail. Only the NAET and finding and removing what is the cause behind your disease can help, at least initially. This was how it worked for me. You may be different. Supplements and nutrients can be purchased much cheaper at Seattle Super Supplements than at Schuck's office.
I am currently working with Dr. Chuck Bate's MD at www.beyondfibromyalgia.com. Dr. Chuck advocates for any unexplainable ill person with autoimmune illnesses to go on his detox diet and over time by rating your symptoms on the website (it only costs 40.00 to enroll) they will help you find the causes in allergic items to your ill health. The diet is the most amount of foods that are non-allergic to the most people. You must be willing to eat what is on the list for as long as it takes to get better. I have been on it since May 2004. I have been able to add in more natural foods as time and NAET allows.
I have found that I am extremely allergic to urea formaldehyde glue used in the building materials in our older(1970's)mobile home. My cure will happen when I get out of this house. We have lived here 9 years. Most homes I have lived in have had some paneling or pressboard cabinetry, walls, floors, carpets with formaldehyde.
In the meantime, my son and I do NAET for each other. We don't need the pure vials as the Doctors have. We just say the item and do the treatment and keep doing treatments until with Kineisiology (muscle testing)you clear the item.
I do hope this will help you and your son. My son has adhd and many allergies. My daughter has Fibro also. The sensitivity is inherited. The associated disorders are not. After 8 years of being in so much pain and so sick, it is good to know now what is the cause. The domino effect of many allergies starts with something that really knocks the immune system for a loop. You have to find what that is. Dr. Chuck Bates website will help greatly and you may not need to see Dr. McCollum. Good Luck!!
