Putting this post out there as a general inquiry to find out if anyone here can provide some commentary and or insight to the company, product and designer of products.
As part of the diganoses from the initial examination of my health condition, a holistic MD has recommeneded I change the brand of vitamin C I use. One of the principal reasons of his advice is that the brand he suggested is one of only 4 (so he says) brands of C on the entire market that are not derived from Corn. He further made the point that since the late 90s, pretty much any and all forms of C derrived from Corn and similar plant/vegetable sources are increasingly suspect due to the increasing proliferation of GM-derrived plants/vegetables that litter our food supply.
I had been using Natrol's powdered Ester-C for many years, pretty much following the Pauling daily dosing, realzing this may not be the ideal brand/form, but one that I had gotten accustomed to, with benefits, and one that does not contribute to my general problems with acid indigestion.
The brand this new doc advises is from company named Bio Immune, the product called Absorbic C, and the designer/MD of this product is a fellow named Arnold Takemoto. This product is (apparently) pharmacological grade, whatever significance this may have. It is in a liquid form (somewhat gooey, yellow syrup). This product's apparent claim to fame is that it's design provides 100% absorption, which seems to account for the significant reduction (from what I'm accustomed to) in daily dose they suggest - 1 teaspoon, which provides 934 miligrams of C, as well as bits of Magnesium Oxide, and Alpha Lipoic Acid, and a pretty good dose of Lecithin (553 miligrams of Phosphotidyl Choline also included in each teaspoon), plus a bit of Disodium EDTA.
Same doctor has also suggested another product from the same company to assist me in mercury chelation; had 12
Amalgams removed this past spring. This product is called Max Detox, in a similar yellow liquid form. Interestingly, the detox formula contains pretty much the same ingredients as the C product, except in different proportions with the EDTA of course being the principal ingredient.
There does not seem to be a large body of info and or commentary on the web about this company, it's products, or it's MD/Chemist, which is why I'm seeking input from the forum; I'm also naturally curious if this lack of info is due to the company/products being somewhat new, or perhaps for other reasons... ?
Any and all genuine comments are welcome.
Thanks.
