Ok. So, this is the first actual forum I have posted in regarding this subject matter.

Background Information on the issues: About a year ago after my wife and I were getting back together after a split up the following things happened:

I ended up with a patch of non painful blisters on the shaft of my penis. My wife had a small patch of very small blister like bumps on her back above her butt. Her partner at the time we were seperated supposedly had a patch if similiar type symptoms on his legs.

The first occurance came a few days after intercourse. I had unknowingly been sleeping with her and she had been sleeping with her partner. This went on for several months off and on.

This was all a first occurance for all of us, however I can not truly speak for her partner at the time.

I went to the doctor, the blisters were still there but he said they were not at a state that a culture could be examined. So he had be get a blood test to test for STD's. The blood test came back clean. However, over the course of the last year I have had many reocurrances of these blister patches. They are always non painful, they stay blisters for a day or so, then scab over like a normal sore would. They are never painful and generally the sores take longer to heal than the blisters last.

There seems to be no pattern as to what brings them on. They never seem to come when angry, upset, stressed or anything similiar. Occasionally they do pop up after masturbation, which limits that type of activity. They have never seem to occured after intercourse but thats not an everday thing.

I have read about herpes and viewed 100 different pictures. Some of the minor syptoms are there but it just doesn't seem to jive. Most everything I have read about herpes talks about painful blisters over and over, and what causes outbreaks doesn't necessarily seem to jive. Also, I was reading some stuff today that gential herpes can be on other parts of the body? ie. Wife has them on her back above her butt and that is the most common place for it for her.

Mine general are on the same area of the penis everytime to.

Well... Sorry its a novel. I am just trying to figure out if this sounds familiar to anyone or what should be the next step to diagnosis? Another blood test?
