yes, and I am using the coco oil with great success! topically only at this point, waiting for the mail order to arrive per your suggesstion..
also, as an FYI to anyone interested, I have been using a dab of arnica ointment mixed with cocnut oil in the private areas and it actually seemed to supress an outbreak entirely recently. the redness never even had a chance to sprout into blisters(!) It receded and did not pop back up.
but, re: india,
from my understanding of the new indian herb research, both from the kind friend who sent it and discussion with a genius nutritionist, preliminary reports suggest it is the strongest defense against HSV that they have found on the planet, far outperforming every other anti-viral substance.
Also, my understanding based on the wording, is that it may actually be a CURE, meaning: you test negative for hsv-2 at the docs office after therapy. Not just latency, but DEAD! Anyway, that is what I have been told by the nutritionist. Would you mind taking another look at the article below and conveying your interpretations! (only if that is okay, of course)
Exciting indeed, but until any of us can actually try some out (don't hold your breath anyone!!), coconut oil is the way to go IMHO!! :)
It works great and I am only using it topically at this point!THANKS AGAIN!!!!

NEW DELHI, Aug 23 (Bernama) -- Indian scientists claim to have identified two plants in the Nilgiri hills that may contain a cure for life-threatening diseases caused by Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), said the Press Trust of India (PTI) in a report Monday.
The finding assumes significance as drugs currently available to treat HSV infections are very few and not efficient.
P Vijayan and co-workers at the J S S College of Pharmacy in Ootacamund in southern state of Tamil Nadu report that extracts of Hypericum Mysorense and Hypericum Hookeranum suppressed HSV infection 100 per cent.
The scientists studied anti-viral activity of extracts of 18 plants against HSV-infected cells in test-tubes and found these two plants to be deadly against HSV at low concentrations.
These two plants are already used in the treatment for anxiety and inflammation by practitioners of traditional medicine, the report said.
Isolation of active constituents in these plants "may provide useful lead to the development of new and effective drugs against HSV infection, they have reported in the Indian Journal of Medical Research.
