I can hear the tenderness in your voice. This is part of who you really are!
What about the imagining/building do you like best?
... Discovering a historic building style?
... Finding the materials?
... Miniaturization? (Tiny things?)
... Far away adventure?
... Travel?
... Play-acting?
... Time for yourself?
... Your play friends?
... Constuction? Design?
... Something else? Colors? Climate? Plants and trees? Water?
The box under your bed intrigues me. That sounds like a very private treasure box. What do you like about that? A delicious secret? Freedom to be yourself? There's something special there.
What would happen if you really had that box? Could you build for a few minutes every day? What if you were hired to build real miniature buildings - for, say, an architect? Or, a museum?
The book Wishcraft has many simple exercises that will help you narrow down the exact things you love, and it will give you ideas on how to get those things into your life...today.

http://www.wishcraft.com It's free.
Also free is Barbara's Bulletin Board at
http://www.barbarasher.com There you can post a wish, and an obstacle, and good people will help you brainstorm ways to do what you love.
(I've never heard anyone complain of being bothered by registering as a poster on Barbara's bbs. I even use my real first name as a signature. Get on Barbara's mailing list, too. Once a month she sends out her brief audio tips. They are gems.)
I think you'll like
http://www.brooketucker.com ...just for fun. See Brooke's "Put-Abouts" first. Go to some of the links, too, especially the Museum of Miniatures in Taiwan. You probably won't be able to read the writing but the pictures will blow you away!
Happy exploring, 121212!
