I find myself re-reading it, for more understanding.
And, I tried it last night. (I tried it the night before, but fell asleep just before age 4.)
Last night the subject was my life-long tinnitus. It's always there.
I counted backwards by 10 year increments, 1 year after I passed age 5, then 1 month, with the exception of the ten days after and before birth. "I am age XXX. Do I still have this Doyle?"
I didn't stress any particular memories, just lightly acknowledged them when they appeared.
Under the age of 5, I could hear the tinnitus slightly 'pulling' away, although only for brief moments.
Two results:
... The tinnitus is a little milder.
... Even this a.m. I feel some odd connection to infancy. I may have slept 'like a baby'. Smile. (Though I awakened at 3:30 from an odd dream, and computered for a while. Then slept some more.)
The article suggests beginning with a food dislike, to gain experience in the procedure. (There is no way I am going to teach myself to like liver!!! Period!)
I see great uses for this procedure.
You, too?
