Hey Peirce,
Are you a relative of mine? My last name spelled PEIRCE too.
I will say this about prostate cancer.
Hormone therapy is a great idea. The problem is that they don't give testosterone blockers for both the testicles and the adrenals, here in USA.
Lupron shuts down adrenal production of testosterone, and Fluetamide blocks testicular production.
The problem I have personally witnessed as a nurse, friend, and family survivor is that some health plans wont authorize both treatments being given; which basically is rediculous.
When testosterone production is decreased in testicles the adrenal glands will try to compensate.
Canada has a better track record against this cancer and they regularly use both blockers.
Also, PSA, testing is 70 per cent accurate. My Father had a normal PSA but still had active disease. Also, a friend of mind was three times the normal level and he did not have cancer. So, PSA, an indicator but not black and white decisive in diagnostics.
Now that you are off of hormone therapy, keep any eye things to see if there is any reoccurrences.
Also, in terms of antioxidants, might want to add olive leaf extract. This has been recently discovered to be many, many times stronger than green tea and CoQ10 on the anti oxidant scale. ALSO, anti oxidants may be misleading term. After donating hydrogen to free radicals, what is left is double bonded oxygen molecule.
The more complex the molecule the more donor sites containing double bonded oxygen.
These then can be harvested for use in oxidative phosphoryllation. This is important because cancer is basically proven to be an anaerobic disease, (hating oxygen.)
Olive leaf is also dirt cheap compared to the "super foods." I purchsed vial for 8 dollars.
Keep those checkups coming. Keep in touch! Good Luck!! Great Job!!
Let me know if you are a relative.
