Hi everyone - this is my first message.
Short summary of a long history(!):
+/- 10yrs ago I was diagnosed with M.E., had long courses of
Antibiotics and recovered in the end (5 yrs later) funnily enough after I stopped taken the medication and went off the contraceptive pill. 3 yrs ago went back on the Pill, got cystitis, had
Antibiotics , got thrush, bla-bla most of you prob. know the story. Then started getting abdominal cramps and GP said I've got IBD. I also started getting all the other symptoms I had years ago and thought "O no my M.E.'s coming back" but fortunately was recommended to a brilliant doctor who said straight away I've got candida and have prob. had it for 10 yrs.
So now I'm on Nystatin and yeast-free diet, had allergy tests and I'm taking a vaccine for that and feeling much better. Problem is I've got "mental" problems now - I get terrible mood swings, problems concentrating and sometimes when I speak I can't think of the right words and it all comes out wrong. My mind goes like a blank screen sometimes. I've got no motivation, doesn't want to go out, does't want to socialise or exercise or even do the shopping. I get very anxious when I go out and have to mix with other people. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do or is this just part of the disease that will get better with time? Thank you for listening.
