Because you enclosed the subject line of your messsage into < and > , yor subject line was hidden by the browser.

Avoid using those signs: " < " " > " becuase they are reserved signs used in HTML. Every single page on this web site is composed of text formatted by HTML tags. If you encolse any text into < and > , your browser will simply ignore it, and noone will be able to see it ...
