As fruit goes, bananas are more dense and not fiberous which could be the reason behind the "clogging." Since I eat a variety of fruits, including bananas, I've not noticed any troubles.
If you are a regular eater of other fiberous content such as apples, bran, celery, and so on, it could be with you that there's a chemical reaction which causes your intestines to constrict in their presence.
In general and for most people, bananas are very healthy containing a good amount of potassium and other nutrients.
