You always have the option of having the tooth pulled, but leaving a fractured tooth completely alone is NOT a good idea. The
Amalgam has already been compromised in that case, which causes leakage and exposure to bacteria which can then proliferate.
I go ahead and get crowns. I've never tested high for mercury, so I think that when it comes to fillings it really depends on the person's constitution how compromised they are by dental work. I've had caps and fillings since I was 4, and none of my issues can be attributed to the metal in my mouth. Geez, I WISH it were that easy! LOL! :)
Keeping the liver and bowels clean, sweating frequently and eating good oils will go a long way to ensuring that your dental work doesn't negatively impact your health.
